Tier 2 General - ILR & reduced working hours

Post by MichaelStewart » Sat Aug 18, 2018 6:22 pm

Hi Gurus, experts,

Please let me know your views on following-

I am on tier 2 general visa from 4th Nov 2015, salary 38000 PA- 37.5 hours per week.I Went on maternity leave from 1st nov 2016 to 31st Oct 2017.
Salary incremented to 39500 in annual review from 1st jan 2017. Then I took reduced working hours- 32.5 hours per week -salary 34236 PA.

I had checked following 2 points before doing this-
1. minimum salary requirement for SOC code 2136 is 32000 pa.
2. Minimum working hours for tier2 visa are 30.

My question-
just want to confirm that my assumptions and 'working on reduced hours ' is valid in tier 2 visa specifications?

I am going for renewal in Oct 2018. Can I renew with these reduced working hours 32.5 with reduced salary? Or is it better to renew with full hours and salary?

I will go back to normal working hours to adjust my salary 39500 to ILR minimum salary requirement 6 months before ILR application.
will it affect my ILR application after 2 years?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi

Respected Expert members,

Can you please advise me if reduced working hours are fine in my case . I will move to full working hours 6 months prior to ILR date to achieve IlR salary threshold. Can someone please help me.
