Tier 2 Application Form and IELTS SELT reference number

Hi,

Currently I'm trying to understand how to complete Tier 2 General application form correctly.
As requested per guidance, to confirm English language test,
I have to provide test "SELT Unique Reference Number".

At the application form I can see a field for 12-digits reference number.
But my IELTS certificate has 18-digits "Test Report Form Number" only.

Who has applied recently, could you advice please, which number should I use for Tier 2 General application form? Is it "Test Report Form Number" from IELTS certificate? or should I request SELT Unique Reference Number from IELTS separately?

IELTS and IELTS under UKVI is different. If you had taken IELTS with UKVI you would have got SELT number.

The SELT number is only came into effect from April 2015.

I have passed IELTS UKVI Test recently.
I have received Test Form.
It has 25 - characters UKVI Number,
but no 12-digits SELT number at Test Results form.
How could I get 12-digits SELT number if it is not present on Test Report Form?

Any reason why you can't simple specify that you have certificate?

They need this number to be specified at Tier 2 General Visa application form.
As they will need to check the test online using this "SELT Number".

Not sure that this is completely true. I just did my own application and received visa last week.
My choice was "certificate". I bring my IELTS to visa center and they just scan it.
