Hi Buddy,

My understanding was that HO has 70 days to perform their investigations and interviews etc. Since you haven't heard anything from the HO regarding interview; you'd be free to marry.

On the other note, I have questions for you.

Did you request the copy of your certified passport to give notice?
If yes, how? And how long did it take?

Would appreciate your answer.

Thanks.

If you haven't already done so, I suggest you contact the Registry Office to confirm whether the wedding can now go ahead.

Bear in mind however, that marriage won't legalise your immigration status in the UK.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
