If somebody got invitation for that’s means it’s 100
Percent confirmed that date which he get invited
Thanks
Yes this latest news actually matches what you've been told recently. Also, it could be a small ceremony in Dublin somewhere else than the Convention Center.... would be great if Kevin could fill in the details. Hopefully others will get letters today and can confirm later on....Rosay36 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 24, 2018 10:48 amThey always had ceremonies in Dublin but they also had a small one in Limerick. We can’t predict how they function we can only speculate. All we need to do is wait and see. I was previously told back in May when I visited my local GNIB office that a ceremony is likely to be in September. Last time I spoke to them I was told there will be 2 later this year September and November.
Great news thanks for confirming!!Statusquo73 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 24, 2018 11:44 amGuys, one of my European friend who applied in January got the approval letter and a ceremony invitation for September. He told me that it will be in Dublin.
Looks like it is official but nothing on the website. It is very strange.

According to INIS website:
"Please note that Citizenship ceremonies which were previously held in the Convention Centre Dublin will from 2018 onwards take place in a new venue:
Killarney Convention Centre (Gleneagle Hotel), Muckross Road, Killarney, Co Kerry."
Which means they don't have ceremonies in Dublin any longer...
Congrats @Kevin2018.

Besides someone mentioned that last year Limerick ceremony was arranged like this in haste. Anyways I choose to believe it’s true as it’s been confirmed by more than one person and you may choose to believe it’s not true. We will find out in few days either way
Anyways I think it is only for the people who were approved and had paid fees earlier. So it really doesn’t affect me but happy for all those whose GNiB s were taken and were effectively prisoners in the country

Thanks Kev!!! And congrats, great news!!
Guys read the context:"Citizenship ceremonies which were previously held in the Convention Centre Dublin ..." so those big ones won't be held in Dublin anymore but in Killarney. It doesn't mean that no ceremonies will be held at all in Dublin. There could be, smaller scale in a different venue.genuinecomputer2018 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 24, 2018 12:40 pmExactly..and it's true...gorgeous wrote: ↑Fri Aug 24, 2018 10:32 amHey @abelekhoh

Wow, that’s mental! Apparently it’s true then. Happy for you all guys. Just hope that there’ll be one in November then? A big one in Killarney. I wonder why they’re doing a small one in Dublin instead of just doing a big one...
Brilliant! Congrats!!! Can you share with us if you received your approval before or after the previous ceremony which was in May? Many thanks!!!

Hahaha right? I just find it weird cause they haven’t announced anything on their website yet. The auditorium in D2 has capacity for 900 people. Wonder how many will attend
I applied last October, got the passport back withing a few days and a second stage letter in February.
