Hi,

It is actually 350,000 so that's over Three hundred and fifty thousands cases pending decisions. Staggering!

Kwipeh wrote:

I would be shocked if it were 350. Surely that would be one month's worth of work at the very worst? I reckon 350,000. That's the only explanation for the length of time it takes the HO to sift through paper work, make the right phone calls, etc etc., and go ahead to make decisions.

If the number was even 3.5 million, it would be an aha moment for me. Because right now, the tardiness makes no sense of any kind. It cannot be explained away.

Hey Georgioche, how long ago have you sent them the docs requested? They say a decision would be made promptly so I would guess in a few days, couple of weeks?

Thanks

Hello, I'm in a similar situation to yours. I made the same type of application (FLR FP) as yours at about the same time as yours as well. I also just received a letter from the Home Office requesting further proof that my child lives with me in order for them to make a prompt decision on my application. This is despite sending all such documents with the original application. Nonetheless I have sent the requested documents. Do let me know if you receive any further correspondence from the Home Office on this issue.

From the comments I've seen, it seems to be a positive sign.

I did create my own post but did not get much response to it so i am posting here the same.
I need advice from respected members of this group.
We have applied in Oct 17 as a family on the basis of our child who turned 7 in sep 17. We have our biometric in following month. In feb 18 Home office sent two forms back with missing signature which we have signed and sent back within a week. Since then we have not heard anything from Home office. We have contacted our local MP four weeks ago who requested home office to provide the reason of delay and prompt action on the case. Home office did not reply to MP yet. But my Solicitor received a letter from home office on 7th Aug to provide the proof of residence of the child to confirm that we are living with child on the same address and they did say in the letter that they are aiming to take prompt action on the case once the information is provided. We have sent letter from gp, school reports and utility bills yesterday by recorded delivery.
I just want to ask if is it a positive attitude of home office that they taking long and asked for this kind of information. Or they are just delaying purposely and going to refuse. Thanks in advance

Does anyone know the answer to the following question.

"Is an overstayer allowed to use the NHS once they have paid the IHS fee as part of their application for leave to remain, can they use it while their application is pending or can they only use it when granted leave to remain?"

If anyone knows the answer it would be a great help! Thanks.

Good evening everyone. Just like many other people , iv been a silent reader for about a year now and I must admit I've drawn a lot of inspiration from the forum therefore it'll be unfair not to share my story for others to also learn something from .

I started coming to the uk since 2003 to date.fast forward in between this period I met a lady and had two kids with her but we cldnt settle as married couple.
Last year I decided to stay in the uk permanently to play a role in my children's upbringing so I overstayed my tourist visa and applied as parent of british children .

I did the application in November , biometrics followed in December 2017. After that nothing happened until I contacted my mp about my father's demise in July 2018.

My mp in turn contacted h.o on my behalf, homeoffice asked for documentary evidence which I provided the death certificate on the 1st of August 2018.

Today 20th of august my solicitor called to say all documents and brp has been received by her office.

This is my story. Stay blessed all those who are still waiting

Hey guys

I've been silently following this board for a long time. Today I received an email from the Home Office confirming that they've granted me Leave to Remain for 2.5. This was in response to an email I sent to their complaints mailbox over the delay. I applied in June 2017 as Parent of British Child. I had been an overstayer since March 2005!

I'm so Happy. God is great!!!

For those of you still waiting, hang in there, you're next in line.
pls what is this complain mailbox address i submitted since march 2017 and no word till now

Congratulations on your leave to remain.

I also want to apply for leave to remain as a parent of british child but i want to apply myself without using lawyer and i am trying to put extract information from someone like you that has done it before. Firstly, please do you use any sponsor at all? If yes, how many? I am asking because i am also an overstayer since 2005 and i guess i will need sponsor to say he or she helps financially as i am not allowed to work.

Thanks in Advance and your input will be much appreciated. God bless

hi everyone,
i contacted my mp last month to help me chase my application at the home office,he sent me a letter today (23rd of August)from the home office stating my application is complex in nature, and no timescale, its over 7months now,i applied has a British mother on a 10 year routes.to me nothing more could mp do on cases like this, home office just sent a standard letter, saying applications considered within family and human rights units can be complex and this can impact upon the total completion time, this may be due to the applicant's individual circumstances, the requirement of further evidence or their case may raise issues that cannot always be anticipated, unfortunately I cannot estimate a timescale in the application when it will be decided, once a decision has been made they will contact my lawyer, this is the letter they sent to my mp.

Yeah I got that 'human rights, complex case, bla bla' letter as well. Submitted application May, did biometrics same May.

British child, British partner. Child has always lived with me in my home country, but partner lives here and we did the back and forth for many years.

Child has health issues and things got to a head late last year when it was obvious we would need to depend on the services here which our child had been getting during our numerous visits. And we had to get the little one settled in school here this year. So I didn't have time to attempt the partner visa especially as there was no evidence of being together for two years since we've been in a long distance relationship for six years.

If I had tried it, it would have likely failed and would have taken a long time whilst our child's education would have been delayed. And I couldn't do the parent visa because all my immigration records and other records, show that I have always lived with my partner every time I've been in this country, even from before we got into a love relationship. It would have been a hell of a lot hard to prove that I was a single mum so I didn't even bother. I came in with my visitor's visa.

But I packed in all that I could in the application. Whatsapp conversations for over four years, lots of pictures, child''s school evidence, partner's work evidence, child's medical records and future appointments, bla bla. Even my solicitor felt that it was complicated. I agreed with her, and I'm not sure it is even reasonable for me to expect a response from HO before the year 2022 with the tardiness they generally display.

Hang in there, lady. Fingers crossed for you, me, and everyone else. Hope you find something to occupy your mind and make you feel better.

I applied in April 2017 acknowledgement and biometric in May 2017 after that nothing at all.on 16 July 2018 asked for additional documents which was sent on 30 July 2018 waiting since then nearly 2 weeks but we can only hope my friends.
Did they ask you to prove the residence of the child is same or not and to prove that parents are listed as emergency contact in school and gp.
Yes they asked us to send the bills or gp documents on the same address and also the proof of the child living at the same address letters from gp and school etc and specifically from April 2017 since I send the application.
Did u hear anything from Home office yet after sending documents.

I heard they have a shortage of BR cards at the moment but all we can do is pray for each other. It will be OK i stopped thinking too much about it, because the HO can drive you mad. have a great life by keeping busy with less troublesome things... we will all be fine

Application submitted 21 July 2017
Biometrics given 15 August 2017
Local MP has written letters to HO and made phone calls - no success. All they said was that there is no timeline for a decision to be made. It's just cruel.

It has now been almost 14 months - This has affected mine and my husband's physical and mental health.

Please pray for us.

It was general acceptance. We didn't qualify as a partner due to overstay but due to exceptional icumstsnces it would breach his
Article 8.

We submitted full 2 years cohabitation and marriage certificate. They were very nice in person to be honest. I'll post a new thread to help anyone out.

Husband's timeline - overstayer 11 yrs

Thank you brother. My full story here: immigration-for-family-members/successf ... 62847.html

If the Home Office doesn't request to withdraw the JR so they can re-decide, it'll be a long journey and JR will take a LOT of time. It's the most expensive and complex litigation in immigration law. If the barrister is positive then go for it if you have the funds? For us, it was a total waste of time and money.
