Please do you have to call your university to find out if your BRP has been issued or they will call or email you when they receive it?

How long does they take after second interview?

Post by azhar007 » Wed Aug 29, 2018 8:44 pm

I have submitted my online application form on 30 july and got an appointment on 2 august. i have submitted my application for tier 4 general student and gave finger prints and interview on 2 august. After few hour i have received an email saying that your documents has been received at UK home office. With the passage of time i received an other email on 15 august saying we will not be able to make decision on your application within our target days and we aim to make a decision as soon as possible. On 20 august i received another email from uk home office saying this is the invitation of interview. we will take your interview on 21 august at 13 o clock local time, please let us confirm so we will call you on exact time. On the very next day they took interview on right time about 50 mints and asked so many questions in 50 mints and i have tried my best to give all answers. Its been 21 working days and im still waiting for my decision on application. Can anyone tell me how long they will take more time????? My course is going to start on 4 september 2018...

Hey dont worry my bio metric was on August 6 and second interview on 22nd; line was disruptive so i gave them my landline number and they called the next day. it went better the next day. but i couldnt answer a few questions on 22nd and one of the questions was about different university rankings. another girl whose biometric was on August 6 got her refusal on August 29 based on not knowing ranking in her second interview on August 16. im worried too :( well as far as timeline is concerned it varies even for people who gave their bio metric the same day. my own classes starting on second week of Sep. Just do pray that good news comes out for all of us. we will receive our decisions in next 4-5 days maximum. just dont forget to update here!!!

Hello guys i really need some advice here because i'm very worried. I attended my appointment on 6th August, 2018. On 12th August i received email from VISAINFO.shefo that my application has been received at the Sheffield decision making center. However on 20th August my university confirmed receipt of my BRP meaning my visa has been approved but i have received no communication concerning return of my passport with visa. TLS website tracking is still stuck at 'received by UKVI'. what could be happening, is it not normally visa before BRP? what should i do?
Hi, We are in the same boat :D . Did you get ur passport back or any further email from UKVI or visa center?

Azhar question s are usually based on ones application and knowledge of universities whereabouts and your interest in selected course and your solid future plans / moreover they check your ability to understand and speak English . Nowadays they have strict criteria like old times if you have good academic history in your home county then you can get visa that's all . You didn't share your refusal letter so don't know why they refused you

It is better to post the refusal letter so we can advise you better. In the meantime, if you decide to go for an administrative review first contact your tier 4 sponsor.

Online application submission: 20th july
Biometrics and documents submitted in VFS global qatar(no interview): 7th august
email that my documents have been received in sheffield: 18th august
and to this day i still have no updates for my visa and income relatively worried. My course starts on the 24th of september.
i tried contacting my university to try and get me an update on my application but i still haven’t received any news yet
i’ve also noticed th majority of the people in this thread had to go through an interview which i didn’t have to go through? is this something i should worry about? I’ve asked plenty of my other friends that have applied through the same visa center and non of them were required an interviews but we’re still granted a visa

I think you should call now to UKVI and ask them about the status of ur application. You have waited plenty of time. Hope u will get a mind relief answer from them.

I recently contacted my college and there are yet to get back to me but I also contacted the ukvi and they took my information and told me a Home and office officer will reply to me with in the course of the next 15 days but I also told them my semester is going to commence soon and my visa has been taking more than a month not to be resolved so I dont know what to do because my course start the 11 of September and I'm hoping I'll receive it before September starts .
Hi Esther, I'm from Belize! I also just escalated my case with UKVI and was also told that it would take 15 working days to receive a response from Home Office. I hope that we receive a notification about our visa application status even before the Home Office. Best of luck!
Have you received any emails yet ? I hoping for friday for me since it's the 15 th working day

Update, so my application centre says my passport is with them and a decision has been made... but i can collect i by friday only, it will be couriered to me.

I'm eager to know and scared shitless as well, thinking of contacting my post office where i was to collect the BRP to see if they have a BRP lol, makes sense right? if yes i got the visa, then theyll have it.

I really think mine got rejected cause took only 10 working days, and its known that applications that take less time usually get refused :(

Hi all! What does it mean when the CAS status changes to 'used'? I checked my school portal and saw that my status has changed to 'used' instead of 'assigned'. I am a bit nervous as I just submitted my application yesterday! Does this mean a rejection?
Hi there,

Please share your timeline. We seem to be in the same boat here..
August 17th- submitted application online
August 21st- biometrics done
August 22nd- CAS changed to used

I opted only for standard- not priority- hence my surprise at the speed!
Updated timeline:
August 17th- submitted application online
August 21st- biometrics done
August 22nd- CAS changed to used
August 30th- got email that decision has been made and my passport can be collected at the centre
