Hello
I am extremely worried. I am a student at Essex University (1st year) and I have forgotten to do my police registration as I arrived late to the UK, due to a late visa delivery which made me miss the first week where they did all of that, along other administrative procedures on campus. Anyway, I went late to the UK and I had to catch up with the classes and focussed a lot on my studies, and one thing leading to another, I forgot to do it during the whole term, and left the UK after that for Christmas vacations. I am currently in Algeria. I am really scared that I wouldn't be able to enter the UK because of my stupidity, and there is no excuse for me. So here is my question: what kind of problems will I have? I am already a “High risk” nationality and I am afraid that they will think I had things to hide. Also note that I have a police registration from last year but I was in another city and studying at another level. What should I do? Please Help!
Should I call any office to apologise? Will this prove that I am just an idiot and not a criminal?
Also I’, afraid because some guy entered into my room with a knife (on campus) I was away, so it wasn’t traumatizing or anything. The police came into my room (I was still away) and took digital prints and all that, a policeman then (more than one month after) gave me a piece of paper with his email and told me to email him my details, which I did, but the email didn’t go through. So I am just afraid that this episode will add “evidence” to my guiltiness, but at the end, I was just stupid and very busy.
PS: Sorry for talking so vulgarly, I am just panicked !
