Tier2 general to ILR required documents Dec 2018

Post by veluv » Thu Sep 06, 2018 10:22 am

Hi All,

Firstly, apologizes if am asking the same question again and again, but i thought its still better to ask rather assuming it.

My situation is ,
15-Jan-2015: Tier 2 General issued
02-Feb-2014: Arrived in uk
01-Feb-2014: Employment start date with employer1
20-Jan-2017: employer1 changed to employer2( job changed, Tier2 change of employment)
05-Jul-2018: employer2 changed to employer1 ( job changed, Tier2 change of employment - back to old company)

17-Dec-2018: eligible for ILR i think keeping 28 days in mind.

My current employer is happy to give required letters for ILR, but i've to own the cost myself.

reading the forum am confident that mine is not complicated and i can submit the application myself for me and my 1 depedent.

Q1: Please could you be kind enough to let me know is the following documents sufficient or anything more?
Main applicant
IELTS certificate
· Life in the UK test
· 2014-2018 P60’s
· Last 3 months payslips
· Last 3 months bank statements (if not postal please have them certified by a bank branch)
· Letter from your employer - any format please?
· Current and previous passports (if any)
· Current Biometric card

Also the following:
· SET O form completed and signed
· List of absences - any specific format?
· Home Office booking confirmation and payment confirmation.

Dependent:
every quarter for the last two years,
communications in your and dependents name from 3 different sources
(bank statements, utility bills, NHS communications, HMRC communications, etc)
is this mandatory?
Items of correspondence (various official letters, documents and bills) addressed to you and your spouse (either jointly or separately but with the same address) covering the last two years of your stay in the UK. Examples are:
Letters or other documents from government departments or agencies, for example HM Revenue and Customs, Department for Work and Pensions, DVLA, TV Licensing.
Letters or other documents from your GP, a hospital or other local health service about medical treatments, appointments, home visits or other medical matters
Bank statements/letters
Building society savings books/letters
Council tax bills or statements
Electricity and/or gas bills or statements
Water rates bills or statements
Mortgage statements/agreement
Tenancy agreement(s)
Telephone bills or statements

Q2: When can i start the application process online? can it be ASAP?

Q3: I assume appointment date should be not before 17 Dec 2018?

Q4: Should i take solicitor's help ?

Thanks in Advance

How long has your dependent been in the UK?

You need a leeter from all employers regarding absence.

You need a letter from current employer also stating you will still be required for the foreseeable future and that you salary will remain at the level you are on etc.

You don't count the day of departure and arrival in the absence schedule in the FORM. Your letter must state your absence from x date to y date.

You don't need a solicitor.

Your cohabitation documents for you/spouse must be from 6 different sources covering the last two years.

It is too early now to book appointments for December. Note also that the service of in person is changing, see link below.

Tier2 general to ILR : any recommended solicitor

Post by veluv » Thu Sep 20, 2018 10:24 am

Hi,

Am still bit scared to do it myself the whole ILR process, hence wondering any recommended solicitors with decent processing fees?

I've got a quote for me and my wife for complete ILR processing fee of £600 from xxxxxxxxx firm, wondering if anyone has experience with this firm in the past? or any recommendations please?

Thanks in advance

You DO NOT need a solicitor to do this application. Free advice on the forum if you simply state what your concerns are.

Please DO NOT name or post details of solicitor or immigration firms on the forum. This is not permitted and neither are recommendations.
