Not clear, is this British wife the child's other parent or the child's 'step parent'?

Ok so tell you the history. Me and my wife came to uk on tier left our kid back home with their aunt , he was born in india we couldnt afford. Then we got our british nationalities and amde an application for our son who was 16 at the time as a dependent of a settled person. Now his visa is expiring in november and he is 18, so we dont know which alication to complete.

This appears to be similar to another member's topic. Did they mistakenly not grant your son ILE as well?

If both parents were British citizens at the time of your son's visa application, then see also my advice in that other topic.
