7 year child route

Post by Sk10 » Sat Aug 11, 2018 10:40 pm

I need advice from respected members of this group.
We have applied in Oct 17 as a family on the basis of our child who turned 7 in sep 17. We have our biometric in following month. In feb 18 Home office sent two forms back with missing signature which we have signed and sent back within a week. Since then we have not heard anything from Home office. We have contacted our local MP four weeks ago who requested home office to provide the reason of delay and prompt action on the case. Home office did not reply to MP yet. But my Solicitor received a letter from home office on 7th Aug to provide the proof of residence of the child to confirm that we are living with child on the same address and they did say in the letter that they are aiming to take prompt action on the case once the information is provided. We have sent letter from gp, school reports and utility bills yesterday by recorded delivery.
I just want to ask if is it a positive attitude of home office that they taking long and asked for this kind of information. Or they are just delaying purposely and going to refuse. Thanks in advance

Hi
To be honest as per my experience If Home office wants to Reject any Claim they dont ask for further Details and Papers they Simply reject but in your Case Looks positive signs and again you never know whats next HO has full authority to decide anything
Its just my personal experience

Thanks We thought the same. But just wanted to check if anybody in this group had the same experience. If moderators can give their view on this scenario.

appeal date from court on 7 year child application

Post by Sk10 » Tue Oct 30, 2018 10:06 am

Hi respected moderators and members of the group. I have requested to get some information but did not get the response on that so I am creating a new topic for my query.
application- 7 year child flr fp
Applied-Oct 17
Biometric-nov 17
Additional docs-Aug 18
Refusal-Oct 18 with appeal right
My solicitor have lodged appeal on 26th Oct. he told us that we will get court date in around 6-7 months. I just want to confirm that is there any possibility that we get the date before that as long waiting is killing us already. We live near Heathrow so my solicitor was saying that we will be going to Hatton Cross court. But I remember two of my friends went to Newport for the appeal on same case. Do we also get option to choose????.
Thanks in advance.
