More than 1 bank account 6 months statements

Hi all,

I went Pakistan to get married and currently she has been given a date in 2 weeks for the english competency test for her to join me if she passes and then just has the TB test. I am earning above the £18600 threshold and have my own home. I collected the Housing letter but I am worrying over a few issues. Firstly I work for NHS so my wage slips are above board and should suffice but have all but 2 original slips. The 2 remaining ones I have now printed off the system as copies. I asked personnel for originals but they suggested what I already did and to print them off the self help portal. I can supply many other wage slips and include the email to personnel showing I tried to get hold of the 2 remaining ones as evidence to show I tried getting the 2 I need. Will this satisfy the entry officer? I know it seems pedantic but I don't want to leave anything to chance as I hear you get a refusal with no explanation and a 6 month wait before trying again. I don't want to let her down.

Secondly, what is the process itself? I'm a complete noob. I know she will need to submit documents in Pakistan and so do I but which forms are they and where do I find them/where do I apply? Is it a spouse visa I am after or ILR? Is the application fee around £1500 or is it £2500? I think it's the one to do with 5 years with another english test halfway. Do these fees jump by a few thousand and also the £18600 jump to £22400 if my wife had a child too? Also someone told me I need to go back again and visit her (which I can't see in any rules) before applying as it will get refused if I don't go back. I do talk on whatsapp every day as evidence and can show this but now someone said I need to go back again which I would love to except I have limited holiday entitlements. Get the payslips signed by someone in HR (with their details) where you are printing from the online system.

Documents need to be submitted in the UK (except her passport) ... main form is online (https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/home/welcome) and Appendix 2 needs to be printed both are compulsory.

There are various supporting documents required.

I’ve not seen any rules that you need to visit your spouse although some common sense should apply.

If you’ve only just returned to UK and in 2/3 weeks she will have passed her English test, got the TB certificate and you will apply for the visa, there’s no need for you to visit her.

If you had got married 6 months ago and couldn’t show proper communication evidence, then you would be wise to visit.

They want to see it’s a genuine relationship and so if there is a gap between marriage/applying, you need to evidence you’ve been in contact and show evidence eg WhatsApps screen shots and call logs.

In past there used to be a form SU07-sponsor undertaking form which I guess is optional to fill up along with VA4FS & appendix form.

SU07 form is NOT required for a Spouse Settlement visa. It is for Adult Dependent Relative visas.

SU07 definitely not required for Spouse Visa, but some solicitors include it for some reason.

This form is to confirm that you will be responsible for the applicant’s maintenance, accommodation and care, without relying on public funds:
•for at least 5 years, if they are applying to settle

Adult dependent relative or visitor not family migration. It is not a requirement for Family settlement application - but alot of people include it without harm - possibly just annoys the ECO.

Hi, I completed the online application on visa4uk but unfortunately once I submitted my form I noticed 1 letter missing from my surname on the section where it states "Form completed by" as a typo. I triple checked the form and now it is 6am I only completed it now and am exhausted.

What can I do?

Correct it by hand on the printed application which you will submit with your bundle.

Hi all. I am about to submit my wife's spouse visa application but just need some clarification. I have 6 months bank statements all stamped/verified by the bank. This is where my wages are paid and is my main account. I have another account for bills and have a monthly standing order set up to send money into this second a/c. I also have a 3rd a/c with money just sitting there for years.

My question is, do I need to provide 6 months verified bank statements from all 3 accounts or am I being pedantic and going above the requirement? I earn well over the £18600 threshold into my main a/c where wages are paid with substantial money so I hope this a/c is sufficient for the purposes of the visa.
