Dependent (Wife) paying taxes - any change in public fund access?

Hello,

I have a Tier 4 Dependent Visa through my husband who is completing a PhD program. I currently work remotely from home full time and will need to file income tax in both UK and US. Once I pay taxes for a full year of work, will I still have "no recourse to public funds"?

Yes. The public funds restriction is a condition of your visa (and all visas). It has no relation to working or paying taxes in the UK.

Thanks so much for your response. I found a list of other benefits that can be claimed if you submit National Insurance contributions: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... blic-funds.
Although not the greatest list and I may not be eligible for any based on other circumstances, it does show some other benefits one may enjoy in lieu of contributions.
