Application for settlement spouse

Hi, I want to apply settlement visa for spouse from Pakistan,I am living in the Uk at the moment, do I need to send my financial and accomodation requirement documents to Pakistan to apply from there or I will have to send my documents to UKVI from here in Uk?

You need to fill out the application form online, pay the fee and IHS and will send the supporting docs to Sheffield.

Your spouse needs to the TB test, English language and biometric in Pakistan.

What about the marriage certificate,has to be attested by some authority from Pakistan or I can submit as it is along with my supporting documents here in Uk?

Is Nikah nama in English? Use that plus:

You should also get the Marriage Registration Certificate from NADRA which is issued as an A4 paper and is also in English

In the future, if you want to get Schengen visa etc you will need both of the above to be attested by the Minsistry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad as well -- so no harm in doing that but not needed for UK spouse visa

also the English language and TB test certificate need to be sent to Sheffield as well by you. Your spouse only needs her passport in Islamabad when she goes at the appointment.

All supporting documents need to be sent to shieffield by the uk sponsor. Only the online application form, proof of application & IHS payment receipt, biometrics appointment letter and applicant passport will need to be in possession when submitting the biometrics in Pakistan. Then your Pakistani applicant partner need to send you the signed application form, TB test, English ielts test/NAric reports, English marriage certificate along with Urdu original nikkah nama, 2 photos to you. Then you have to send all these along with other documents like appendix 2, your payslips & bank statements, accommodation occupancy documents, subsisting relationship documents, pre-paid self addressed envelope to shieffield. I hope it all clarify you.

Thanks mate,just wanted to confirm does B1 covers A1 because B1 is advance level than A1 or only A1 necessary to apply 1st time?. Thanks

B1 is higher lever than A1 so yes it's fine provided it is from an HO approved test provider per the current list.

A1 will not be good enough for extension later so if your spouse can do a higher category then that's better.

In several threads I recommended to do B1 because it cost same as A1 and only 3-4 minutes longer than A1 with same module (listening & speaking) so therefore B1 is best for present and next extension.

No, photocopy of a bio page for British Passport is fine. Yes to land registry and sending everything to Sheffield.
