SET M or SET LR

Post by tii051 » Sat Sep 15, 2018 9:45 pm

Hi,

I am qualifying to apply for ILR on both SET M and SET LR routes together. I meet requirements under both categories. Which one should I go for?

Thanks!

Have you been under the PBS category and do you have dependents
(Casa, not CR001)

I have one British child.

I am currently on FLR (M) route with my husband as sponsor. (Last 5 years)
Before that I was on:
Tier 1 skilled migrant visa. (2 years) Got married when I was on this visa.
PSW visa (2 years)
Student visa (1 year)

If you have non-British children, then SET(M) may be better as you may include them.

Also, I am not sure if this is relevant. But I was self employed for a year in addition to my full time job since I have been on FLR (M) visa. In my first and only tax return. I had forgot to add the salary from a previous employer I was only employed a month of that financial year. HMRC had sent me a penalty that they withdrew since it was my first time and I paid the extra tax due. Will this affect my application at all?

I am no longer self employed and am only relying on my full time employment for my application.
