Do I need to have job offer before appying for Tier1 VISA ?

hi friends,

recently i saw some new rules for Tier 1 UK visas, which were published on May 7 2008

So my question is :

Do i need a job offer before even applying for UK Tier1 VISA ?

Or Do i need a job offer before entering UK on Tier1 VISA ?

Your help is reqired for me to decide.

No UK job offer is required to apply for tier 1 scheme. And you also don't need to have a job in UK to enter as a Tier 1 visa holder.

Visit BIA website www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk for more information / forms / guidance on Tier 1 scheme.

thnaks for ur response. But what does this mean..? The news, which were publiched in BBC and ukvisaservices are false or ppl have misinterpreted. It may happen these websites are not updated since May 06 2008.

This is nothing to argue with you.

Just to get more clarity..on my planning. Please feel free to comment..on this.

Where does it mention Tier 1 in any of the two links you refered to?

The news isn't false - but you need to first understand the difference between the various tier schemes being introduced. As suggested, visit the BIA website for accurate and detailed information. Don't worry, you will figure it all out from there.
