Quick question on best route for partner's naturalisatoin

Post by sky_rise » Wed Sep 19, 2018 12:09 am

hi there,

will appreciate a quick reply.

I have recently got ILR, and my wife is currently on PBS Tier 1 Dependent (will be extended in October this year.)

What would be the fastest route for her to ILR/ citizenship taking into account:

- I plan to become British Citizen in November 2019
- Married from 2017 (1 year now)
- She lived here continuously from September 2010
- On Student visa 2010-2012, PSW 2012-2013, Tier 2 sponsored by employer 2013-2017, PBS Dependent 2017-now

What is the best way for her to naturalise/ get ILR the fastest? Iw there such thing that she can do it in 2020 straight away after getting her ILR based on 10 years LR ILR, same year?

I am just looking at this and thinking can she apply at any point for citizenship immediately after getting her ILR as she would have lived in the UK over 5 years? https://www.gov.uk/apply-citizenship-spouse

thank you so much

Yes, she can if you are BC at the point she is granted ILR.

thank you so much
