What do you think from where did you received the 2nd interview call from BHC Islamabad r from Sheffield i also received the calls but didn't heard anything and i remember that she spoke in Urdu too can you tell me that from where they call for 2nd interview. My consultant told me that an English person only conducts 2nd interviews from Sheffield that call was from FedEx to collect your passport and was not for interview

Bro the call was from a local number but definitely not from Pakistan most likely from Shefo. She spoke English all the time and was coughing because of sour throat. There was distortion but I still managed to hear her.

In your case if you heard Urdu than I would definitely suggest you to go and check your passport status from your local visa application center. I will check mine from Gerry's Islamabad on monday even though I didn't receive any call from them for collection.

They emailed me first that my interview will take place on 18th at 12 noon.

Questions in second interview

- Why UK
- Why this Course
- Why this university
- How will this course help you in your future plans
- Who is funding your studies

The interview lasted for 8 minutes. They called me on my mobile phone from a local Zong number. There was lots of distortion. But somehow I managed to hear her out.

At the end She asked me were there any issues with the call quality, I told her that it was of poor quality and I tried my best to understand you.
Thank you for sharing your interview details, kindly let us know when you receive the decision on your application. Good luck!
Thanks bro. I will definitely keep everyone updated.

It will most probably be a local landline number because the local visa application centre (where you originally applied, I think it is Lahore) will be calling you not UKVI staff from UK.

Hello guys,

I applied online on the 28th of August 2018 and got an appointment at the visa application centre (Yaounde, Cameroon) on the 31st of August 2018. Submitted my supporting documents. Another thing is that after I submitted those, I was asked if there was anything else I wanted to submit. I said my former passport as I've studied in the UK before and I have some other visas in there, but I was I told that I couldn't submit that anymore and that it wouldn't be necessary. Anyways, after that, my biometrics were taken and I had a skype interview of about 5 minutes. I believe it went well.

Two days later (2nd of September 2018) I received an email from the Sheffield Decision Making Centre saying that my application and documents were received and that I will get another email once my request has been assessed and dispatched. I haven't received any more email. My experience with this is that the said email is usually sent a couple of weeks after the appointment at the visa application centre and it takes three to five days for the passport to come back here in Cameroon. However, yesterday I checked and nothing. I also checked my CAS status and it's not "used" yet, just "assigned". I'm worried because my PhD starts on the 24th of September and as International student there's a welcome event that is compulsory for me and that will take place on the 26th of September. These two elements don't even worry me that much as I still can get to my uni up to the 8th of October. The most worrying element is that my flight is on the 22nd of September and I'm really not sure that I will get my visa by next friday. Does anyone have the same concern as me? Can anyone offer an advice or something?
I just called the UKVI. They said that my file is still under process and should be handle by Friday. I should call them on Monday to ask if it has been handled. Might definitely miss my flight

They say 21 days to have our documents and passport back. Not 21 days to get it sorted.

I don't even know why they had that crazy idea of moving most of UKVI decision making centre to Sheffield. There used to be decision making centre in Accra (Ghana) but they changed that. Now they are struggling with deadlines.
So... I received an email from the UKVI stating that a decision has been on my application and that it is being sent back to me. Hopefully, it will arrive on Friday and if it is successful I won't have to cancel my saturday flight. Let's hope for the best.
So, I went to the Visa Application Centre on Friday but my passport and documents weren't there yet. I was told that they were shipped on Wednesday the 19th of September and that they should be here by tomorrow. I'm gonna check tomorrow again. I also changed my flight and if the outcome is positive I'll be travelling on Thursday.

Hi everyone,

My Tier 4 visa application has been successful (Alhamdulillah). My timeline is as follows:

Online application: 31 August
Bio metrics and interview: 06 September
Visa granted: 19 September
Documents collected: 26 September

A side note: VFS sometimes causes long delays in contacting and informing applicants, which I hope will be improved in the future.

Thank you very much everyone, I wish all the best to those who are awaiting a decision and those who are going to apply soon. Good Luck!

Hi everyone I am from Hong kong and currently living in the US. So I am applying from the US, I got an email from the Sheffield Visa Section saying a decision has been made on my application yesterday and an application center will contact me regarding the return of my decision but i didn't apply through an application center. I mailed my documents out to the UK consulate in NYC with a ups return label which they required. I am super confused, i looked up the reviews on Yelp but seemed like other us applicants got their passport back from NYC and the email they got is different to mine. How long do you usually get your passport back after a decision has been made? Thanks !!!

Hello guys, how are you?

Here is my timeline:

Online Application submission: 20th September 2018
Biometrics and Interview: 21st September 2018 (walk-in appointment and priority services)
Sheffo's 1st Email : 24st September 2018
Decision: 26th September 2018

I've called VFS and they told me they couldn't disclose the outcome of my visa. Is there a chance of my visa being declined? I read that if your visa is declined you usually receive an e-mail.

Is that correct?

Thank you in advance.

No, I didn't receive any email from UKVI regarding the decision. My case is really interested I am sharing my experience.

On 25 September, I missed a call from a mobile number, and since I was awaiting a decision on my application I did check the number on True Caller, which showed 'Visa UK'. I immediately realized that it was from VFS (Pakistan). I tried calling back, but in spite of ringing there was no response from other side. I kept trying, but unfortunately I got no answer from the number. The person never tried to call me again, I waited and waited... Even I send a text asking to confirm if this is VFS, but still the person at other end was determined not to respond.

Next day (26 September) I tried calling the number again, but no success the number was switched off and turned switched on after 11AM. I called 9999, which is VFS's premium number and shared my experience and asked them if they call from a mobile number, they were unable to help me, because according to the VFS representative, the passport collection department is entirely separate so they could not help with any inquiries about this. They advised me to wait you would receive a call soon if your documents are read for collection.

I decided to take a risk, I sent someone on my behalf (with an authorization letter) to check if the documents have arrived at VFS. Meanwhile I kept dialing the number repeatedly, and eventually, the call connected and the person from other side said your documents are ready to be collected. I did not say anything to the person about why he never called me or attended my calls.

The person collected my documents that evening on my behalf and told me on the phone your visa has been granted. That was a great sigh of relief.

The same day I got an email response to my inquiry from my University that stated your visa was granted on 19 of September and the VFS was notified on 20 September about the decision.

This story demonstrates that often there is a delay from VFS or whatever other service in your area is, in informing the applicant when the docs are ready for collection.

I hope your and any other applicants who are still waiting for the outcome will soon hear from their center. Also, you can ask your university to inquire directly from the Home Office as they are able to do that.

I hope to hear successful stories soon. Good luck.
