Hi all,
I have applied for my husbands spouse visa and have received a very worrying email from the Sheffield visa office. I write this in hope that someone can shed some light, advice or experience of a similar situation.
I sent off supporting documents for my husbands spouse visa on 18/07/18 via royal mail signed and tracked. They were received the following day. After this I have had no contact and then received an email (14/08/18) stating that the supporting documents have not been received.
I called and have escalated the case but am concerned that if the documents are lost then where does that leave me?
I have read on the forum that this might be a generic email but want to know if anyone else has received this email and what the outcome/ experience was.
This is the email I received:
We are in receipt of your UK Visa Application however we are yet to receive your UK sponsor supporting documentation. Without these documents we are unable to make a full consideration of your application. Can you please ensure that your UK sponsor submits the documentation to the below address within 10 working days of this email.
For all applications submitted in Pakistan Please send to:
UK Visa and Immigration
PO Box 5852
Sheffield
S11 0FX
If you have paid for the Priority Visa Service please ensure you clearly mark on the envelope that it contains priority visa documents.
In addition to the above, please also ensure that your sponsor provides a suitably sized envelope with appropriate postage so we can return all the supporting documents to your Sponsors UK address, for applications submitted in Pakistan we aim to return your documents within 5 working days of receipt.
If we do not receive your supporting documents within 10 working days we will make a decision based on the information we already have on file. No further request for your supporting documentation will be issued.
With all correspondence please ensure you quote the above GWF reference number.
Please disregard this email if you have already submitted your documents.
Yours sincerely,
UK Decision Making Centre
Any help will be very much appreciated.
Thank you

Thank you for the response. I did read that bit but they sent the email after nearly a month since they received the documents. Am I then to assume its just a generic email as otherwise why would they send it if they have the documents?
Thanks

I agree, sometimes they send these emails by mistake. I got an email from HO saying our applications have already been decided and this was made 4-5 days after my wife/child received their visas.

I sent my documents on 19/08 and received the same email a couple of days ago. I am thinking they haven’t scanned my documents on the system yet thus automated email is sent out by the system.

OK update on the original email. I received another email yesterday asking for the tracking number again. This has worried me as again am I to assume its a generic email? I paid for priority and 30 days are up in 2 days but I am not holding out much hope in getting a response within the time. This is a copy of the email:
Thank you for your enquiry and please accept our apologies for the delay in responding
To help us trace this package, can you please provide us with the tracking number and email it as soon as possible and mark the subject header with 'Contact Centre enquiry: **********’
After sending the tracking number I received the following email:
Home Office – UKVI | UK Decision Making Centre
This is an automated e-mail. Please do not reply.
Please note that this mailbox is for internal use and external customers who are contacting us about the following:
· Documents that we have requested from you in support of your application (Please note that you will not receive an email confirmation from us. If you have received this auto response, your documents will have been received and will be linked with your application)
· Notification that you have submitted your passport following an overturned appeal, visa correction or a ‘Submitted without Passport’ application
· Courier Airway bills for USA and Canada settlement applications
I guess just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat or had similar experiences?
Thank you

If you’ve received your documents back than they would have scanned all ppwk and will be working on your application.

All the documents they request. From the top of my head:
- accomodation: letter from parents allowing for us to live in the house, estate agents report that house was not over crowded
- relationship: photos from all wedding ceremonies and from outings (making sure there were diff landmarks and diff clothes), wedding card sample, call and whats app log screenshots,
- employment: letter from employer, bank statements, payslips,
-Tb test certifucate and english test certificate
- cards exchanged with envelopes
I just followed the list of evidence they required and gathered as much as I could. I did a lot of research and read about others experiences about things to make sure about. After that had a solicitor check over everything.

Didn't you include home title deed/registry? When you had already researched here and read others experiences too then what solicitor have actually done further to this

Yes and those documents. I went with a solicitor as
A. I guess it was reassurance as they checked through papers and due to my husband being dicorced previously and his case already gone to home office twice, the solicitor submitted another form and letter making sure there were no issues regarding all the papers we had (divorce decree etc) and the dates matched up etc.
B. My husbands family wanted one and paid for him
