Hi
I myself is working in London on HSMP visa. I have recently applied my wife's depandant visa from lahore, Pakistan and today got the refusal reasoning my tenancy agreement is not meeting the requirements and secondly my salary ends up till the end of month and every month it is nill balance in my account.
Does anyone know what should i do to re-apply or what should be wisely done in this case?
Taa

Hi,
Can you let me know what type of tenancy agreement you had produced? Was it a room share/flat share/complete house tenancy?
regards

hi lehavi,
u need to maintain some minimum balance in bank statements now a days...also there is a rule that u should be residing in an accommodation where u can maintain a family. They r very much concern about number of rooms etc...
what was ur tenancy agreement saying???

there was a few balance and my accomodation is 1 bed studio flat and that's adequate for a couple to live in, as my neighbours are living in the same scenario and same flat size

Hi lehalvi,
I am also in teh same situation. Living in london and have taken a one bed room flat for rent starting from next month. My wife will be applying for dependent HSMP visa. Can you please tell me the details of refusal?
A one bedroom flat is good enough for a couple. Is there anything else that has gone wrong? Balance of £1500 seems little less to me, but I am not too sure on this.
Thanks
Vikram

1. You have not provided satisfactory evidence to indicate that the rental commitments are being met. I am not therefore satisfied that the accomodation is secure or that will be adequate accomodation for you and your sponsor.
2. As evidence of your sponsor's finances, you have produced his bank statements from Barclays from 2007/08. I note that your sponsor recieves a regular salary but they are often only limited funds remaining in your account. You have not shown any other savings or access to other funds. The pattern of the activities in the account demonstrates that your sponsor already has significant financial responsibilities, which often leave him with little spare capital. In light of this, I do not consider that your sponsor will be able to maintain yourselves adequately without recourse to public funds.

Hi,
thanks for the quick reply. If you provide the house contract, is it not enough? Had you not provided the contract?
Thanks,
Vikram

Ohhh, thats really bad. BHC should think before they take some decision. I am really worried now. I have got the house contract yesterday and have sent a xerox copy of it. Original is with me.
Best of luck to you for the second application. Please let us know if you have any other information to share.
Thanks
Vikram

Hi Strong,
my wife applied for HSMP dependent visa with out a single pay slip of mine. She did produce pay slips from India (from my prev company) and a letter from my current company (in UK) stating that I am employed with their firm. It is little risky, but I decided to take a chance.

HI All
Please make sure to get land survey report with your accommodation contract. The survey tells BHC if there is enough space for 2 or 3 or single person.
You must have sufficient funds just like you had when u applied for EC. If you cant manage it on your own then you can ask your parents or her parents to sponsor her.
I hope this will help you.

Hi lehalvi,
Apologies for asking a slightly off-beat question but I would appreciate it if you could tell me how much did you pay in fees (in Pak rupees) for your wife's dependent visa from Pakistan.
Thanks,
ALee
