Thanks equitydealer, yes of course it makes sense that criminal convictions would need to be declared but FPNs?equitydealer wrote: ↑Fri Sep 21, 2018 2:48 pmI believe that any FPN or criminal offence which happens after submission of an application needs to be declared, so an FPN happening after application would need to be declared to the Home Office by letter. It wouldn't in itself result in a rejection.
Also on criminal offences there is no 'qualifying time limit', anything that has happened in the UK or abroad needs to be declared even if it was 5, 10 or 20 years ago.
Ah!! Makes perfect sense, thank you. I didn't realise they indicated a criminal offence (never had one) and certainly didn't occur to me that littering was classified as such. Very interesting.equitydealer wrote: ↑Fri Sep 21, 2018 6:53 pmFPNs are normally handed out for offences which are criminal in nature. Littering is a criminal offence, albeit a minor one.
Sounds harsh but that’s the law.
