FPN & British Naturalisation

Post by Dxon23 » Sun Sep 16, 2018 5:21 am

Hi guys,

Just a quick one in regards to the british naturalisation.

I’m really stuck on my application not knowing whetever I should declare my 3 FPN’s or just leave it out.

Had also few parking tickets which got paid on time

1 Failure to comply with traffic lights 3 points. £100 (2016)
2 failure to display registration plates. £100 (2016)
3 Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) for Antisocial Behaviour (ASB) (Scotland) Act 2004. £65 (2015)

I have recently applied for my PR (EU) and only have declared the 3 points for traffic light and it’s been successful.

So, any ideas wherever I should declare all of it for the naturalisation or just mention the 3 points for red light

Many thanks

All FPNs needs to be declared
My comments do not constitute immigration advice, if in doubt consult an immigration adviser/solicitor

The checks for naturalization is very robust and more severe than PR
Please declare all or you run the clear risk of being refused. British citizenship laws is way different and not based on EU laws

Will that not affect my application as I haven’t declared it when I applied for PR?
Thanks

FPNs for speeding tickets for example are not required to be declared for ILR.

Citizenship has the good character requirement for which you have to declare all convictions.

Thanks for the advise.

What are my chances of getting accepted with these FPN’s?

I am also a full time student with a freelance job working among different charities.

Thanks again

Well what are the chances of me getting naturalised with these FPN’s will that be a straight decline? Or there is still some hope. £1.3k is a lot to pay for something that’s gonna go to waste.

All the best

Yeah, that’s what I thought. However will these 3 FPN’s mean that they could possible refuse me due to ‘bad character’

Thanks

Hi guys, just a quick question in regards the referees:
So for my first referee which requires someone in a proffesion and a british passport I have got a university lecturer who is happy to provide me with the passport number etc, so I take it that’s fine.

Now finding the second one is a little bit harder.
I’m just wondering if I could use a director of limited company (builder) (Uk) who’s got a polish passport and can’t speak English
Thanks!

I think it's better to wait until your FPNs are more than 3 years old before you apply for the citizenship.

Guidance from the Home Office on FPNs:

Fixed penalty notices (such as speeding or parking tickets) must be disclosed, although will not normally be taken into account unless:
• you have failed to pay and there were criminal proceedings as a result
• you received 3 or more fixed penalty notices at any level
• in the past 3 years you received 2 or more fixed penalty notices, at least one of
which, was at the upper levels (fine of £200 or more)

Have more than 3 years passed since your ASB?

2 years and 11 months.

It’s only a ticket though. It didn’t go to court and the fine was only £40.

Anyways I have already applied, I will keep you guys updated.

What you guys think? Reckon I will get approved or it’s a straight no?

Also provided them with two character reference from Uni and work...

One of my referees is a uni lecturer and the other is ltd company director.

Came to the uk at the age of 9 attended primary school then high school moving on to college then uni.

Always a student with few part time job.
Working part time with charities..

It’s just these 3 FPN’s are worrying me....

Let me know your views.

Also I’ve just reminded myself that for the breach of the peace offence I made a late payment and received a letter saying that I have to pay £60 instead of £40 and the letter stated that the fine was registered in court for non payment what ever that means?? I paid it next day after receiving that letter...

Any ideas? Will the UKVI see that I have made a late payment?
