Dependant on ILR

Post by Azad123456 » Tue Oct 02, 2018 9:08 pm

Hello,
My wife is a dependant on my Indefinite Leave to remain. I am in the process of applying for citizenship. Does she need to do anything regarding her BRP? I always thought her BRP is linked to mine?
Thank you

Thank you for the prompt response. So just wanted to confirm again, so when I return my brp to the home office, hers will still be valid(as she still has some time left on it and will only be applying for an extension of a dependent of a settled person in 7-8 month)?

Thanks

Yes. Your citizenship does not affect her visa.

Thanks you are a star!
Do you know if there is any documentation regarding this? As we are worried about travelling and then being told that hers is not valid on the way back to the uk :(

Her visa remains valid. If she has a spouse visa, whether you are in ILR or British it is the SAME visa, spouse visa.
