Spouse Visa from Pakistan - Help required !!

Post by chokaschoza » Mon Sep 03, 2018 12:13 am

Hi all,

First, I apologise in advance for long post.

This forum has been immensely helpful during my ILR and naturalisation.

I recently got married and just came back from Pakistan. I am about to apply spouse visa for my wife.

I have made a list of following Documents. Please identify if I missed any

Documents that I have

1. A1 Test Certificate
2. TB Test
3. NADRA English/Urdu Marriage Certificate
4. Wedding, Honeymoon, Random pictures
5. Call log/Chat log from July 18
6. Two photographs of wife (Name and DOB written on back)
7. Council tax bill
8. Mortgage Statement

Documents which I can acquire in few days

1. VAF online form signed and dated by Wife – Filled and Saved online without submission
2. Appendix 2 – filled with few sections waiting clarification (see below)
3. Visa Fee Receipt
4. IHS Receipt
5. Nikkah Nama Urdu Original (Forgot to bring)
6. Wedding cards (Forgot to bring)
7. Scanned copy of her passport and CNIC
8. My British Passport copy (to be verified)
9. Entry and Exit stamps on my Passport for wedding (Do they need verification as well?)
10. Employment Contract
11. Letter from Employer
12. Last 6 months Payslips printed and stamped by employer
13. P60 printed and stamped by employer
14. Last 6 months bank statement showing income and expenditures
15. Official Copy of Register of title i.e. Property deed (Latest Copy)

I live alone so I assume I do not need Housing Inspection report

I have following questions

1. Nikkah nama original URDU – does it needs to be submitted along with NADRA (English/URDU) marriage certificate?

2. Wedding cards ? How important are these? I will attach our wedding & honeymoon & random pictures of course.

3. This relates to Appendix 2 question 1.3 when did you first meet your sponsor in person and 1.5 When did your relationship begin.

I met my wife in December last year but I have call/chat logs from July 2018. I met my wife again in August 2018 before our wedding. My question is

Which dates shall I use for 1.3 and 1.5 ?

Does this gap (between last year and July 18) qualifies as pre-marriage subsisting relationship or in eyes of UKVI is pre-marriage subsisting relationship exist??? I understand that subsisting relationship is from date of wedding onwards and not before??

4. This also relates to Appendix 2. I qualify under Section 3A Income from salaried employment. What shall I do with remaining (irrelevant) boxes? Shall I leave them empty? The last relevant question to me is 3.21. What shall I do with remaining pages?

5. This relates to online application form section Family details > Spouse/Partner Section. In this section shall I write my details or my wife’s? Mine are also been asked later in Sponsor Details section. I am confused why will they ask this twice ?

6. My British Passport copy verification – Is it just the picture page needs verification or the entry and exit stamp ones as well ? What other documents needs to be verified?

7. Employment Contract – Is Contract necessary along with Letter from Employer, printed and stamped 6 months payslips and P60 ?

8. Does Single person (Council Tax) discount qualify as any sort of benefit enjoyed by myself and require mentioning anywhere in application ?

I will truly appreciate a quick response as I do not want to waste any time in form submission since I am back from Pakistan and any unnecessary delays can complicate our case.

Many thanks in advance.

1. Marriage certificate issued by Nadra/union council is usually have both version on same page.
2. yes they can be part of subsisting relationship
3. reply truly but if you declare that you have formed relationship with present partner before marriage then more likely HO will want to see some proof of communication but if its arrange marriage through family members then indicate to HO.
4. Any thing non-relevant usually be filled by N/A
5. Form is usually be filled from applicant perspective who actually need visa so based on common sense unless its pacifically asked about sponsor the information must have been asked about applicant.
6. There is confusing information about it but preferably the all pages even blank ones need to be certified for just in case.
7. Do not include employment contract and p60 if you have employer letter and 6 months payslips.
8. Give true information wherever being asked about that.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

@Seagul..Thanks for your reply

1. Yes Certificate is in English and Urdu. Does that mean that original handwritten nikkah nama can be skipped from supporting documents?
2. Wedding Invitation cards can be part of subsisting relationship ? Is this what you suggesting?
5. Please can you point out guidance notes for filling online application form ?

I have opened this

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... -Notes.pdf

In family section, It asks for applicant's father, mother and spouse. I understand in spouse section, details will be mine (sponsor's) ?

I am not sure if I am looking at the correct guidance notes ?

Please assist.

If you're Sponsor, then put your detail Spouse/Sponsor section from 44-53, Father/Mother details should be the applicants parents details.

Bank Statement for Spouse Visa

Post by chokaschoza » Thu Sep 06, 2018 2:02 pm

Hi,

I have got a printout from Natwest Bank which goes up to 3rd April. Wanted to go up to 25th March otherwise I will miss a salary!

I have asked bank to send 6 month statement home and was advised it can took upto a week! I read somewhere else that they send only a transaction list.

I now have printed pdf Statements from online banking (not transaction list). I have printed it in color and it seems pretty detailed. I am hoping to get it stamped from bank. Will that suffice or do I need a letter from bank ?

Assistance will be highly appreciated

Make sure it is a proper branch stamp. There is no need to get it signed - just a branch stamp which normally has a date on it anyway

Dear Moderators and Forum Members,

Just wanted to consult before I make any step further.

Currently I have applied (first time) spouse visa for my wife and satisfied financial requirement through 3A.

I am thinking of spreading my wings (career wise) and work with one of my friends. This will involve setting up an IT company in UK. I have a spare room where I will be working from and others working remotely. Therefore, Company's registered address will be my current home address.

I am hoping to run this company along with Salaried Employment. My questions are

1. From HO/UKVI point of view, is this a wise thing to register company on home address?
2. How it can impact future (Spouse Visa extension and ILR) applications to Home Office?
3. Can I satisfy financial requirements through Salaried Employment without mentioning company directorship ?
4. Do I have to declare my directorship in future applications?
5. Does it raise additional requirements accommodation wise keeping in mind that my home address of cohabitation with my wife will be a Company's UK Registered address?

Many thanks in advance.

One short answer to your all question that if you are earning at least £18600 from the last 6 or 12 months then don't include or even show your intention to start your own company to keep case smooth.

Very nicely put. No need to volunteer this info if you have already met the financial requirements.

Dear Moderators/Forum members,

Applied for spouse visa on 15th September, documents sent already :!: and currently in a state of anxiety :?

Financial requirement met under 3A

Reason for this post:

Letter from Employer is on company letter head, dated, signed by HR. All forms of contact details provided. On employment letter it is mentioned

Name and NI
Job Title
Start Date
Permanent Employment
Current Annual salary (significantly above threshold)
Annual review
Bonus

Following bits are not mentioned on employment letter

i) The period over which they have been or were paid the level of salary relied upon in the application
ii) Payslips are authentic

Along with above Employment letter, following documents are attached:

6 month Payslips - Digitally issued (on company letterhead), Printed and Stamped by Employer
Printed copy of an eP60 on company letterhead demonstrating Tax year to April 2018 income significantly above threshold - Stamped by Employer
6 months Bank Statements showing (accurate) income and expenditures - Printed online but Stamped and Dated by branch.

Employment Letter, Bank statement and latest Payslip fall within 28 days of application date.

Photocopies of all of the above have also been provided.

Am I covered?

Many thanks in advance.

You are over worrying because you have sufficiently provided the relevant financial documents. However eP60 was unnecessary which preferably shouldn't be attached. If the payslips are stamped then they do not need any letter of authentication because they gets the worth of being original.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

My advise dont even look at your application as you will find more things to make you nervous, just wait and see the outcome.
