Hello Love g123,
I think you are still in the safe margin , there is no need to worry. You may get your acknowledgement letter and BRP this week , No worry at all
it is on its way ,

Hello waitinglad,
As others have said you are not alone , I applied on 16/07/2018 and have had 2 status emails + the acknowledgement E-mail so far.
You may be a bit worried because you've not got any status email but looking to some replies here ; some applicants have not got any email and they had their ILR's approved ,
I think the status email is up to the case owner who wants to communicate through email.
So Rest assured things will be just fine..
all the best

Don’t worry. Remember time line is up to six months. It all depends on case worker. Some case workers are faster than others. It will be okay.

Hello Everybody
I find this forum very informative, interesting and excellent for migrants .
I am looking forward to apply for ILR on refugee basis next year january 2019.During my refugee leave of 5 years I have made some mistakes whivh are a bit scary now.I would like to hear from knowledgeable users and those who have gone through almost same circumstances.
1. I received a court fine of £190 for travelling with room mates oyster ,taken to court by evil tfl in2015.
2. I received a ccj for not paying a mobile bill of £250 in 2015.
3. After getting refugee status in 2014 I made a blunder by obtaining a national passport of my country, although never travelled to my home country or anwhere on it ,just obtained it to use as an id to open bank act.
These 3 things are constantly circling in my mind whenever I think of my ilr application in jan 2019.
I am hopeful that I will be successful .I would love to hear your comments my friends .Thank you.

Hello

I have applied for ILR after 5 years refugee status.

I sent application on 21st September which received by HO on 24th September. I haven't received any acknowledgement yet.

The issue that bothering me is that, I was just trying to fill application online to print and finalised on 5th September when it got submitted online when I tried to download/ save it. Now at that time I was not even eligible to submit ILR application as I was not in the last 30 days time frame. I asked someone and decided to let it go and do nothing so the application get rejected itself. On 24th September I received HO letter for that online application to submit the supporting documents. I replied next day explaining that application was made unintentionally and wasn't even aware that submitting online ILR application for refugees was possible.

Now I am worried because haven't received any acknowledgement for actual paper based application that was received by HO on 24th September so far. My leave to remain is expiring on 17th October.

Should I contact HO to ask about it? If so, can anyone please guide me which number or email address to use.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

It is unfortunate all these things happened. I won't recommend telling HO about this before your application. You might say the wrong things or phrase during the phone call that can be used against you when you apply. You should get yourself good legal advice. If money is tight.. start saving now for at least a year to get legal advice. Most good lawyers would need £1000 for the whole application process including pre-application assessment.

Thanks
Dydx

Thanks for your reply.Consulting a lawyer &paying them 1k isnt a sensible thing in refugee ilr in particular as it is a simple&straightforward application which HO itself asks you to submit .Yes I have sought some opinions from some lawyers&some of them say it is now depended on ho how they treat my mistakes.I think court cases arent serious as ho only refuses you if commit a crime &get imprisoned whic isnt in my case.National passport is a bit serious but I havent used it for travel anywhere&asked ho on phone before making it but the person on phone didnt say anything.I have seen a few cases where refugees got ilr even having natinal passports.I would like to hear from senior members& the refugees who were in similar citcumstances .Thank you everybody.

Thank you hadaiq, I applied only for myself so no dependant. I did send only my BRP and travel document and nothing else and no solicitor.
