Hi guys. I am really concerned and wondering if anyone else is in the same state as me. It has been more than 12 weeks since I applied for my Tier 2 Extension (same Sponsor, A rated) via standard postal service and upon contacting the UKVI the same automated email that the application is not complete is sent to me. The application is very straight forward so I don't know what is wrong. Is it generally taking long for everyone? From the time line it seems a lot of people have gotten back in due time. Is there anyone waiting beyond 12 weeks and is there anything else I can do? Any help will be much appreciated.

Have you tried to contact? Have they told you there is any problem in the application? All I get back is an automated reply. This is just so frustrating I don't know what to do.

I tried but only got canned reply and being told to wait and wait. They even haven't notified me anything about the delay.
Have HO ever notified you anything?

Where do I send email to? I have contacted them over phone 4 times now, each time they refer me on and send an autmated email. I have written a letter to the address provided on the biometric application form. I am agnostic, don't know what to do now. It has now been 15 weeks almost. I have notified my sponsor to chase it up. Is it worth getting a lawyer to chase things? would that make any difference? If anybody is in a similar situation please respond. I am very distressed.

I recently applied as well for a switch from tier4 to tier 2 and i used priority postal service.
It has been more than 2 weeks today and i have not heard a single thing from them.
This is so worrying.

It takes 10 days via priority postal right? You will get it soon. I on the other hand feel utterly helpless.

I am also on same boat, 12 weeks and no decision yet. They sent me a letter on 10th day about exceptionally complex issues. I had applied using portal priority 10 days service.
It looks like there is backlog which is delaying applications especially which need more investigation.

I have never heard anything about my application being complex and I don't anticipate any complexity either. So I don't know what is taking so long.

I am a little over 14 weeks since I applied to switch my Tier 4 to Tier 2. Same issue with not being able to get any information.
Have any of you had any luck yet?

Hi adele_marie,
No update in my case yet. Did they sent you a exceptionally complex issue letter after 8 weeks of application?

No they didn't! They sent me an email on the 8th week asking if I had any other bank account statements to show, which confused me as I had enough money for maintenance over the 90 days of statements! I replied explaining this and attaching all my statements again, and haven't received a reply since.
What did your exceptionally complex issue letter say?

It is normal letter that they send after 8 weeks when they need more time to process the application for whatever reason.

Does anyone have an update? I applied priority for my husband's dependant visa in country. it has been 15 working days since. They sent a complex letter on 10th working day. I don't know how long to wait for now.
