Naturalization

Post by powershower » Sun Oct 14, 2018 11:23 pm

Hi,

My partner was given ILR on 09-01-2018 . She was refused Asylum in 2003 and then first Legal stay was given as DLR in June 2010 which she continued to carry until ILR was granted.

Can she apply for naturalization after completing one year of ILR ? just confused on this good character requirement.

Regards,

NO. She can apply citizenship only 10 years after she first granted the discretion leave, because before that she was illegal.
