EEA FP INTERVIEW

Post by gh18 » Sun Oct 21, 2018 11:23 am

Hi Guys,

I applied for EEA FP to join my wife in the UK and after a long wait we received a mail from UKBA inviting us for an interview. My wife and I were to be interviewed via phone and Skype respectively since I was in Ghana at the time of my application and my wife was in the UK. I must say that even though the mail for the interview was received a week earlier, it was really the most tensed and difficult week for us because we were not sure what else the UKBA wanted from us for to be able to establish the genuineness of our relationship after all the supporting documents we submitted to them to proof the genuineness of our relationship, it was obvious that they still had doubts about genuineness of our relationship and claim our application wasn't 'straight forward' and hence the need for this interview....smh

Well guys here we were with an interview at hand and days counting down so it was important we prepare adequately towards it and not take chances at all. This platform and many of such platforms on the internet offered tremendous help to us by giving us fair idea as to the nature of questions to expect and how to respond to them. Therefore we thought it was a good thing to give back to others who might be preparing for a spouse interview with UKBA or expecting one in future. Below are the questions we were asked at the interview and please note that some of the questions might not apply to your case as the questions are set on case by case basis but I am pretty sure a lot of them are repeated for all applicants applying for EEA family permit.

2 Do you know why you are being interviewed today?
3 Can you confirm the type of visa you applied for?
4 can you confirm your full name and date of birth?

My FP arrived exactly 7 days after the interview and I am happily settled with my spouse in the UK now. I wish anyone who is preparing for a spouse interview the best of luck and hopefully yours too will be successful.

Cheers
