Hello everyone,
I just received a letter today from UKVI that my application for Tier 2 General (Skills shortages) visa has been rejected because my Certificate of Sponsorship is not correct. The refusal letter states that it is rejected because my workplace has applied for the wrong CoS- the one they've given me is for "General- Switching Immigration Category) (A Rating), but I should have been given one for Tier 2 General- new hires- restricted.
I am applying from Adelaide, Australia currently- so I am not in the UK. There were no other reasons for refusal- I met all the other points except for the CoS. I have contacted my work and they are going to issue me a CORRECT, new certificate of sponsorship. I have spoken to UKVI who have told me that once I get the new certificate, I can reapply again. Is this correct? I can see that I cant ask for a review as techincally they made the right decision with the refusal because my certificate is wrong.
I was wondering what others have done in this case. Will my second application with the new certificate be accepted? If I reapply, will I have to do the Biometrics testing again?
Thank you for your help
