EEA QP Student + EEA FM -- possible to apply Online? Need Help!

Hello everyone!

I would appreciate very much, if someone could help us.

If I may, I would just ask one question - Can my wife (German studying in the UK) make an online application for her Residence Certificate AND include me (Russian with EEA FP studying in the UK) for the Residence card - so that we can request a passport return through this European Passport Return Service or do we have to use paper form?
Or if we cannot use the online form, and have to do it via paper forms, can she request our passport after 10 days via the Government Site?

We need our passports before 13th of December..

Also on the side note, my wife has to prove that she has sufficient financial resources, does anyone know, what is the minimum that we have to show? we also thought of making this declation that we will not become burden on the society. Will it be enough? She has also a scholarship and around 10.000 in the bank statement to show.

Good question - I'm actually not sure. There is an online option for EEA (QP), but you can't use it if you're a student who is financially responsible for another person or who is reliant on a family member for financial support. So I guess the answer is no and you should use the paper form.

You can use the Passport Return Service - suggested you wait two weeks after sending application before requesting documents back. Or just wait to apply until you come back, unless your FP expires before you come back.

My FP does not expire before April but with Brexit coming in March, I am just so afraid to do the application in January, that they will not really consider it. And I am not sure if they will make it in time before my FP expires.

I don't really have savings myself, since I am studying on a loan here and it is from friends and I read that they would only consider hers anyway. But 10k is what we have in the bank statement plus she has a montly rent income from a joint property with her brother around 300 EUR a month for her and she has a scholarship paying 600 Pounds a Month plus 10k for tuition fees. Will it be enough?

We were thinking doing both: providing these documents and making a declaration. Just to be sure. Does anyone know how this declaration has to look like?

and yes, we have both CSI in form of European Electronic Card, we will support this evidence with a letter of intent to stay only for duration of her studies. (does it have to be made at a notar or solicitor?)

Ok, so I would explain this in a covering letter, and provide as much evidence as you have (like bank statements showing receipt of the £300, a letter relative to the scholatship, bank statements showing receipt of the £600, and the bank statements showing the £10K).

The only way to find out if it will be enough is to apply! It sounds like it should be enough though.

Ok, great. EHIC cards are fine as CSI.

The declaration doesn't have to be verified by a notary, no. For the wording, do some research online under terms like 'declaration' or 'legal statements'.
