Tier 2 general dependant visa for minor

Post by sushil.c » Fri Oct 26, 2018 1:16 pm

Hello,
I would like to apply for my daughters tier 2 general dependant visa. I would like to get your kind advise on below scenario-

Right now my daughter is an Indian citizen though we have not yet applied for her visa (born 3 months ago in UK ). Can we travel to India and apply for her dependant visa in India in December 2018 or Jan 2019 ?
Do we have to inform UKVA that we are travelling to INdia and will apply for her visa in India?

The current Tier 2 general leave to remain is valid until July 2019(5 years complete and eligible for ILR). Will it be an issue if we apply in India and they reject on the basis that the leave to remain is going to expire in July?

Also in-general are there any restriction on travel of Tier 2 general visa holder if the leave to remain is going to expire in 6 months time?
Thanks in advance,

Kind regards,
Sushil

Yes. Don't forget you need to maintain funds for 90 days.

No.

No. She will get a visa with the same expiry date as the main Tier 2 visa holder. How do you qualify for ILR in July 2019 when you only applied for Tier 2 General in May this year, which was refused??

And how does this relate to your previous posts from 2013 and 2014 about Tier 2 General application from PSW?

The previous Tier 2 general post was for my brother in law though he was new and didn't have an account so I asked him to use mine and ask the queries. On that post just to update they issued a new COS and he applied from the premium postal service. visa was granted in July 1st week.

The nove 2013 post is also mine. I was not sure about the SOC code so I asked the question on the forum.
