I keep monitoring the timelines and have noticed that time for decision depends on the route a lot. Is there any information if it as well depends on applicant's nationality? I mean, are the good character or whatever checks all the same for everybody or not?

Update from me..

I got a letter today (dated 22nd October) that my application has been successful and LIUK will not be returned. I do not have any citizenship ceremony invitation letter but it says that it will be sent shortly...
I had applied in the beginning of August, and received this letter after a little less than 3 months.
Also, I had received a response to my email on 22nd October that my application is with the caseworker after I had inquired about it..

This was posted in the thread where discussion is prohibited:

Compared to most of the posts in this thread, my application took a bit longer. Java97's application also seems to have taken a tad longer. And we both finally got our approval. I am wondering if it is a mere coincidence that we both happen to be from Pakistan (or were they stacking up all applicants from Pakistan for some extra checks which have now come through ...)
Good luck everyone..
I suspect this is correct, they check people of some nationalities in a different way, even they seem to be whiter than white, but I am sure they would never admit that publicly.

i got an email reply in same hour today ,

i asked for update , and was given this answer

"Thank you for your e-mail.

All applications are dealt with in application receipt date order. As you application was received on 12th September 18, It will take a while longer for your application to be considered."

i have seen cases after my date been dealt before, but i reckon they were mostly NCS... seen a trend where NCS cases are being dealt faster compared to NDRS. or maybe i am wrong .. and every case is different too..

in my case , ilr + spouse of bc
hellow hamzababy,
when did u send first email to ho and got above answer as one of my friend got same email today as urs .
All applications are dealt with in application receipt date order. As you application was received on 21Aug 18, It will take a while longer for your application to be considered. Once your application is decided, you will be contacted by your caseworker.

i sent two emails with one day apart.. both got ditto same reply , even the spelling mistake / typing mistake in both emails was same , making me conclude that they just send standard reply from customer service desk whoever is managing enquiry email.. i guess all they do is , copy the application date from system and rest subject remains same.. but anyways i guess its a waiting game , no two applications are same. some caseworkers are faster , some are fussy , some get on with things , some go into details etc.. i disagree with a reply above saying Pakistani applicants are scrutinised more then others. common we all were grated ILR..

hopefully we all hear soon too...

Well, it is not about specifically Pakistani granted or not granted something, it is about different checks they run on different nationalities. Some checks clearly take longer.

I (am not Pakistani, by the way) follow timelines and have seen a message from a member who applied on the same date as I did, same route, same number of years, same method of application, non-EU in both cases, straightforward applications without any complex issues, but! Exactly on the day when our passport fee was debited, decision on their application had been already made! Just in about 20 days! We are still waiting and it is going to be two months in a few days!

Moreover, they say each application is assessed individually. In our case there are 4 applications submitted together, one of them is for a 18-year old – literally, there is nothing yet to check – living with parents and schooling in the UK since age of 12, all the time at the same address – but still, not a word from the HO. What have they been possibly checking on this applicant for 60 days? There is no other explanation rather than they run more checks on certain nationalities by default.

I do not challenge their right to run checks as needed, but would prefer to have a list of nationalities that cannot expect a quick decision, does not matter what. That would be honest, at least. Such unnecessary vagueness of the process irritates a lot.

You might well be right. But this was just an observation based on looking at August timelines (when I applied). And in there, I noticed that everyone was posting the updates when they got their approval. And there were 2 other posts (in addition to mine) where we were waiting for longer than everyone else and the one thing we had in common was our nationality...
You can go and check :)
it may well just be a co-incidence ;)

It is a coincidence. I applied on the 9th of August (EEA citizen) and have heard nothing. Same for a friend of mine who applied on the 11th and is also EEA.

Interesting Reply :-

“All applications are dealt with in application receipt date order.

As you application was received on 28th September 18, It will take a while longer for your application to be considered. Once your application is decided, you will be contacted by your caseworker.”

although my online application date was 12/09 , ndrs 19/09 .. today in email they said recieved 28/09 , in emails before they said as your application was recieved on 12/09 as will be a while longer ...

guess the person either copy pasted some earlier response or actually said that they recieved docs from council on 28th and hence thats the date from where my application is put in queue

When you apply using NCS or NDRS you are given with a tracking number, if I am not mistaken. So, you can check on DX site that when your application was received by HO.

Was just given a receipt with handwritten details no tracking number. but i guess i just got a wrong reply from HO about 28th sept , instead of them saying 12th September like they were saying in earlier emails. i doubt council would want to send an application they charge £50+ for , via 2nd class post but never know with them lol ..
because my passport fee got deducted after 2 weeks (03/10) of appointment (19/09) like everyone else.

and who knows , what is date receipt order for HO , the day we make online application or the day they get postal application directly or through ndrs.

looking at last two updates in september timeline , this coming week looks promising :D
