I emailed on 27/10/2018 to chase update got reply saying a communication has been posted 10 days ago to your representative it may take up to three weeks and on 29/10/2018 I requested email copy of communication and they replied on 30/10/2018 saying they can not email but will send a copy by first class again. so my assumption emails are pretty accurate at least in my case.

Alternative evidence of residency was requested on the 23/10/18 for the periods of time I have been working as self employed (about 6 months in 2014) and when I took some time off from work (about 4 months between 2017 and 2018). I have sent my self assessment statement for the financial year 2014-2015 and my bank statements (current account, credit card, joint savings account) proving self sufficiency for the period I have not been working, as specified in the annex of the letter I have received requesting the alternative evidence. As an extra i have included a letter from my mortgage lender confirming the mortgage repayments have always been paid in time and the current outstanding balance. All the documents have been sent Royal mail special delivery on the 30th of October and received by the HO on the 31st of October (the deadline mentioned on their letter for me to send them was the 1st of November).
