I sometimes wonder why I thought using an immigration lawyer was worth the money, I thought it would remove confusion but all it has done is add to it.
We have completed the online application, submitted, booked appointment and paid. Not once during this process did it request to pay the IHS fee, so I while waiting for the lawyer to get back to me I went to GOV.UK to see what it said, registered and answered the two starting questions, it returned a message "You don't need to continue. You need to pay the IHS in your visa application if you're applying from outside the UK".
So now we are confused, we are being told we need to pay it, but haven't been offered any way of paying it.
Would this be because although we are applying in Malaysia, I have been doing it all here in the UK on his behalf, albeit online obviously, because his wifi isn't the best and we were afraid of making mistakes if the connection dropped, plus as it is me paying for it all it is easier for me to do it due to the online payment verification password requirements.
