Hello everyone, Happy Weekend.

I guess most of the people will found their answer from this pdf :)

http://legalcentre.org/files/UK_UK_New_ ... t_2018.pdf

Sadly, the premium is no longer available. The quickest for the new system will be 3 days at least. Or worst 5 days probably.

Thanks

Very informative

So ILR application, through Tier1 E route,is also via online as I understand.

Will there be all services option, like for Tier2,in example?
Standard,Premium or Super Premium

I guess so!

This is great news indeed!
There is still One thing I don’t understand … Maybe someone can clarify....is it still 28 days before that you can START the online application?…. Or can someone start the online application process now ahead of time as long as the premium service appointment is booked within the 28 days of visa expiry?
As for next day service there is an option for that if you look under the example for tier 2 general … There’s a 10 day turnaround and an overnight turnaround at an extra cost of course !

Just read the document again and it seems Tier1 E settlement application will have a priority or super priority option.

I think you can start and save application for a later update.
It will generate you a refrence number but you may not be able to submit well advance as you may need to book biometrics within a time frame.

Yes, they didn’t mention anything about that, so it can be assumed that the 28 days is still applicable otherwise they would have spoken about it. Remember it is a regulatory requirement.

Thanks bizman,
I do you agree that it will probably be assumed 28 days is still applicable… However I’m wondering if the new online application will give options for dates for the premium/super premium appointment booking (with the new service points)
45 days in advance (as the old system with PSC).
If anyone on this forum gets a chance to find out as of next week November 5 The new system starts if you can Please do advise us 🙏🏽

Eng languages exemption form has been changed from 1st of november 2018?

Post by salsabeel » Thu Nov 01, 2018 9:24 pm

Hi,all
Waiver request for the knowledge of
language and life in the UK requirement:
medical opinion
people who cant pass english language test or life in uk test or both because of long term physically or mentally illness need to submit below form instead of old form.
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... _KOLL_.pdf
A qualified medical professional should complete this form on behalf of applicants applying for settlement or naturalisation as a British citizen.

This exemption form should be included with the applicant’s visa application form.

According to links in previous posts, Sopra Steria should have their online appointment booking system active from today. I can find nothing on their website. Maybe there's a dedicated website for this? Also I note the complete and utter failure by UKVI to inform the many, many visa applicants about the new process. My interest is citizenship by naturalisation. The gov.uk website is still telling people to arrange for appointments with local councils (NCS or NDRS), but most of these have already closed up shop. What a shambles!!!

Anyone out there with any other information to share?

I have a question about my application. I filled in the previous set m form by downloading it and filling it in but just realised yesterday there is a new online application form from 1st November.

I booked a premium appointment for 16th November and still have the completed old form. Back in October I even completed my settlement check service with the previous form.

Now I’m conserned if I need to apply online or if I can still use my old form. I’ve tried contacting the premium centre to check but no luck. I don’t want to turn up with the wrong form!?! Then again I don’t want to fill in the form again online if I can still use the previous one.

Any advise would be much appreciated.

You should be fine using the old form and presenting that at the premium service center as they are still operating until the end of November with the old application form. If I were you I would not lose that appointment booking for your life!

Thanks Allyf I’ve been stressing so much since yesterday not sure if I should start applying with the new online application. I thought the changes apply from the 5th of November? No? Or have I just made that up

Paper application form withdrawn, you must now apply online.
Archived paper forms.

Where an application is made no more than 21 days after the date on which a form is specified (within the meaning of paragraph 34) and on a form that was specified immediately prior to the date of the new specification, the application is deemed to have been made on the specified form (and is therefore not to be treated as invalid by reason only of being made on the “wrong” form).

Hi CR001 your first comment is pretty straight forward that I should use the online application but the second comment says otherwise and my previous form is not invalid. Please can you clarify what you mean by this? Thanks so much.

I didn't write the second 'comment', was merely quoting what fellow moderator vinny posted earlier and the link to the rules (the heading of the para is the link).

The link clearly says you can use the most recent dated paper form within 21 days after any update/change in application forms.

So I had an open application for naturalisation as I was trying to book an appointment with a local council before submitting the application online. I have now received the update for the new service on the online form itself. Most councils have stopped the NCS and NDRS element of the process. On the online form it says that once you pay the fees, you will then be offered an appointment within the next 5 days (doubt this). From 5th November a centre in manchester and london offer this service. More centre locations are being added from the 12th november and further more a week down etc. I am not sure if I submit and pay that i will get an appointment within the next 5 days given that there are currently only 2 centres. Has anyone actually finished the online form, paid the fees and booked an appointment ? Could do with some help/info. As I cant apply for naturalisation after the 23rd November so not sure if post payment I will get an appointment in time.

They have also said on the page that the timelines of your application will be confirmed during the appointment itself. Nothing on the page has given any clarification about JCAP so not sure if that is included or not in the service.

Thanks Kautya, that's really useful information. If you could post in the citizenship board it might be easier for others like us to see. Confusion reigns about the new centres and, as you point out, you are required to pay first, then book appointment. I share your concerns.

Also, the gov.uk announcement says the first centre to open will be in Manchester from 9th November, contradicting Sopra Steria. I guess given your time constraints, you'll have to be prepared to travel.

Hi everyone,
I just have a quick question if anyone can help. We're in the process of preparing my daughter's MN1 application. In light of the new application system taking place, can we still use the paper form and send it by post? I went through the links provided but I couldn't find anything mentioned about the paper forms. Or shall we just wait and apply after the new system takes place and use the online application instead?

Thank you very much

Please see the attached link

It states that paper applications are still permissible at this time, but in the next few months they may be withdrawn and everyone will then need to use the online application.
