regarding payslips

Post by Nick2010 » Thu Oct 25, 2018 4:15 pm

Hi everyone ,

I will be submitting my case soon , I have one concern about the payslips please if anyone can advice .

My payslips just shows total gross amount and deductions as they are on fixed salary, Instead of hours work and pay per hour

will that be ok ? or it needs to be changed to ( hours work and pay per hour ) ? as according to my consultant this the mandatory requirement and he want me to change all payslips.

please can anyone advice on this .

Thank you

That is fine. Hope you are not paying the consultant too much.

I meant that your payslips are fine as they are.

And since the consultant is a friend, you can ask him to stop giving wrong information

Hi Marcnath ,
Thank you for your prompt reply as always .

I was reading the policy guidance and came through the following important point in documents section where it says :

Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) Policy Guidance – version 0 7 /2018 – Page 30
Job creation: specified documents
(c) Confirmation of the employment start date, hours paid per pay period and the hourly rate for
each settled worker relied upon to claim points, including any changes in the hours worked per
pay period or the hourly rate and the dates of those changes.

Please if you can explain what does this mean exactly as my payslips just shows total amount and deduction as the employees were on fixed pacakage .
Dont want to miss anything that is important coming so far , hope you undertand .
Your guidance will be much appreciated .

Thank you

You provide that information in the Job Table or in a separate sheet of paper.

To many confusion last year and peoples got refused due to this issue, simply change your payslip as your account mention hours rate and hours total.

You can change your self as well as RTI AND HMRC data, not gonna be change as that should be correct just mention total hours and rate.

I haven't seen a single case in this forum which was refused due the total hours (or hourly pay) missing in the payslip. In fact, I don't remember a single case where anything in a Payslip was reason for refusal.

@natsha - If you have come across something I have missed, then will appreciate if you can share those (PM me if needed).

Otherwise, it would be appreciated if you do not provide misleading advice.

I hope you find it. On the other hand, you will find numerous cases where people have not submitted that information in payslips (including my personal experience) and have got approval.

Nowhere in the quoted section does it say that this information should be in the payslips. In fact, the point (b) before that is the one that refers to the payslips. For example, the portion I highlighted above cannot be in the payslip.

Most of this goes into the Job Table in the application form.

Again, appreciate your effort to help but I am just requesting that you base it on facts rather than feelings. It just adds stress to people who are already going through a difficult phase.
