Hi, I have been helping my friend to get a visitors visa for the UK by being her sponsor. i feel i have the majority of the sponsorship side of things covered, however i will list them here incase anyone can tell me otherwise
She holds a Russian passport, and currently (legally) lives in the czech republic whilst she is at university. she has provided her proof of work, aswell as her bank statements showing she works part time in the czech republic. She has a letter from her education provider, on headed paper showing that she has to return to the czech republic for her studies in the new year. We also have a letter from her boss confirming her employment which includes proof that she has to go back to work in the new year aswell.
being her sponsor, i have proof of income with my latest pay slip showing enough to cover the trip. i also have this months bank statement showing savings. i also have my passport which shows proof of me being a british citizen.
where i am confused is with the accommodation. I Live with my father, however the accommodation provided to my friend (aswell as myself during her trip) is at my mothers house (we always stay there over the holidays) I have an official document from the HM land registry showing how the accommodation is owned by my mother (and her partner), however, with my home address being different to the accommodation address, is it wise for me to also provide a signed letter from my mother inviting us both to stay at her house for the duration of her stay?
any additional info if it helps. she has never applied for a british visa, and apart from studying in the czech republic, the only other country she has visited was spain.
she also got advice from someone before that said they may be confused with our application as we have shown both of our bank statements, and they will wonder why she shows hers when i am her sponsor. this didnt make sense to me as i assumed its best to show there is plenty of cash to cover the trip?
thankyou so much in advance for anyone that can help me
