Wife's Citizenship

Post by pbcs » Tue Nov 20, 2018 11:05 am

To Whom It May Concern,

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am portuguese (holding an EEA passport) and I have been married to an English citizen for 14 years. We both live and work in London and in May 2018, our first daughter was born over here. I am currently thinking of applying for my British citizenship, however I have got two questions:

- Do I need to apply for either ILR or EEA PR status prior to the citizenship or do I just apply straight away for my citizenship through being married to a British citizen ?

- Should I wait until a final decision has been made on Brexit ?

Thank you for your kind time and attention. It is much appreciated and I hope to hear back from you soon.
