Naturalisation application

Post by Vitek » Tue Nov 20, 2018 11:10 am

Hi guys
I am about to complete my naturalisation application and confused with some of the questions. Please could you help me with the following:
1. Regarding the previous 10 years employment history and NI contributions:
I was self employed from 2008 to 2012 and during 2008/2009 and 2009/2010 earned less than the personal allowance so was told by my tax agent that I was not obliged to pay NI contributions but only tax so I didn't pay any,I didn't even get the NI number until the summer 2010 and worked with the temporary one.
In 2010/11 I paid full tax and some NI contributions but not enough and my government NI portal says "year not full", in 2011/2012 I didn't pay any NI contributions as I took my employer to court for not paying me money but my employer run away without paying me.(but I still declared full tax).
I have been in employment since 2012 until now and paid my NI contributions in full. Do I have to pay voluntary NI contributions to cover the NI gaps during 2008-2012 for the Home Office?
2. I am a non EU family member of an EEA national and got the permanent residence. My partner recently became a British citizen and has a dual citizenship now.I am confused whether i should still apply as a family of EEA national or not.
3.Do I have to wride down my partner's details including the fact that she became British citizen and her certificate / date she was granted it?
Thank you very much.
Regards.

2. I am a non EU family member of an EEA national and got the permanent residence. My partner recently became a British citizen and has a dual citizenship now.I am confused whether i should still apply as a family of EEA national or not.If you have PR then you don't need to apply for anything else under EU regulations.
3.Do I have to wride down my partner's details including the fact that she became British citizen and her certificate / date she was granted it? Provide all details exactly as requested.
Thank you very much.

NA form employment history

Post by Vitek » Thu Dec 13, 2018 8:39 am

Hi guys
I worked as a self employed person for the company some 7+years ago and can't trace my start and finish dates, only months. The company I worked for can't neither(only months) as i was not employed by them. The same problem is with my self-employment ( i was not subcontracted to any company, just worked for myself for a day or two a week on different private jobs in different places but paid tax in full), just got SA forms from HMRC.
Please let me know if it is critical for Home Office to know the exact start/finish dates of self-employment/employment (I have done both).I remember all the dates from my other jobs.
Shall I just put start/finish months for those two particular jobs and put the exact dates for the others? Do I have to explain them in writing why I failed to put the exact dates?
Thank you very much
Regards

Propvide exact dates where you have them and approximate day/month if you are not sure. Explain in a note that you can remember or find the details as applicable.
