Hi everyone, I really need some good advice and a good solicitor to help with my partner's application situation.
We've been together for since 2010 but he is an overstayer. He came to the UK legally in 2002 on a working holidaymaker visa from Trinidad which expired in 2004 and he overstayed since then.
He's tried to stay 'off the grid' due to his circumstances but it doesn't help our application.
He got detained and released in November 2015 and since then we've submitted 2 official applications and they both got refused, the second application wasn't classed as a new application and they said it wasn't different from the first application that got refused, even though we sent in a lot more supporting evidence, they also don't believe we are a couple even though we sent in evidence apparently it wasn't acceptable evidence and the solicitor we used for the last application sent in a PAP but they responded that they are still refusing we have no been advised to put in for a Judicial review.
I don't fully trust my current solicitor due to being told different bits of advice that don't match up and also from reading posts on here.
We've lived at 2 different addresses and even though the Home office has been posting correspondence at my current address since 2015/2016, they claim he doesn't have proof of living here for long enough. He does't have any bills in his name as he didn't have any valid ID before and the Home Office has his Passport. He doesn't have a bank account and anything we sent in on the application didn't work.
I'm employed and self employed and I now meet the financial requirements ( I didn't at the time of the last applications) and even have a sponsorship letter and bank statement from my father who has over the amount they require.
We've been in a legitimate relationship for over 8 years
I suffer with asthma, anxiety and depression but none of the doctors' letters that I sent in made any difference as they said it wasn't valid evidence.
I have a growing business that won't work in his home country
I care for my disabled sister
He doesn't have a criminal record
I really need some proper advice and recommendations for solicitors experienced in this type of application/situation.
Thanks for reading and any advice would be appreciated.
many thanks
