CITIZENSHIP APPLICATION

Hello Everyone i would like know when I can apply for my citizenship application
1 ) I got my ILR on 16th January 2018 on the basis of Long Residency
2) I checked with few solicitors some said I can apply 28 days before the day i got my ILR i.e 19th December 2018

Please suggest

1. 16th January onwards.

2. There is NO '28 days before' rule for citizenship applications. You MUST hold ILR for the full 12 months before you can apply unless you are married to a British citizen, which you are not. The 'solicitors' are talking nonsense.

Hello all respected moderators on this forum , i have a question as i got my ILR (on 10 years long residency )on 16/1/2018 and i have my appointment booked with NCS Haringey on 16/1/2019 for citizenship .So is that ok to go ahead with the appointment as i am completing 1 year on ILR .
please answer my question

Yes, assuming you meet the physical presence requirement and other naturalisation requirements on that day.
