visit visa for my nephew

Post by tycouk » Wed Dec 05, 2018 10:44 pm

Dear Board senior moderators and members,
Hope everyone doing well.
My nephew is 20yrs old, and studying his bachelor degree in India, currently he is not in the college as he unable to pass exams to reach to 3rd Year however he will be joining regular classes from April.
My sister is now dependent on rent and some little pension from Govt as my BIL passed away 2 yrs ago.
My nephew wants to visit us in UK before his college starts in April.
I will be sponsoring his visit and also my sister will be sponsoring too.
My sister has fixed deposits in national banks and also some properties, I just would like to know some key documents required from my sister and Nephew for applying Visit visa. I will be providing all documents required my side like job letter, pay slips, bank statements, my house reg.document, bills etc.
please suggest..

Your help is much appreciated,

Thanks

Hi tycouk

I did the same for my cousin brother albeit not in the same situation as your nephew.

His visitor visa was granted for 180 days (October 2018)

These are the following documents I sent over to India for them to print and get ready in a binder along with what they should submit.

SPONSOR:

Sponsor Invitation Letter
Sponsor Letter to HO
Sponsor Passport - Attested
Sponsor Wages (6 months)
Sponsor P60 (Tax year - 2017 - 2018)
Sponsor Bank Statement (6 months)
Sponsor Mortgage Statement

APPLICANT:

Applicant Passport
Applicant Birth Certificate (although they don't require it)
Applicant Aadhar Card
Applicant Driving Licence
Applicant Letter to HO (Why visit UK, Itinerary, Flight Confirmation, Travel Arrangements)
Applicant Letter from School confirming Name, DOB, Class, Permission for Leave

As the applicant is only 18 and in education;

A Letter from both parents to confirm that he can travel alone
Father Bank Statements (6 months)
Father Land Registry of Business
Father Fixed Deposits
Father Income Tax Returns (2 Years)
Both Parents Passport Copies (both attested)
Both Parents Aadhar Card Copies (both attested)
Both Parents PAN Card (both attested)
Both Parents Driving Licences (both attested)

As the Father has visited the UK 3x in the past 10 years we also provided a guarantor letter with previous visa numbers and assuring them that cousin will return within x time frame.

This is what I submitted.
I am not sure on other peoples experiences but I hope this helps. Someone may add or remove some documents from the above but in my experience, it's always better to give more than less.

Re: visit visa for my nephew-URGENT HELP

Post by tycouk » Mon Jan 07, 2019 8:26 pm

Dear all,
My nephew Visitor's visa rejected and they have given below reasons.
as my nephew is a student, they mentioned that the money which his mum transferred £1000 are not reflecting his status right as in the application he mentioned that he is a non-working student.
also he provided a FD from his mum of £10K but ECO mentioned that they did not see the source of funds.
my sister received very little pension and her source of income is rents.
Now my nephew is getting a letter from my late BIL's office about source of funds.

I am trying to attach the letter to the thread but am unable to do so.

could you please suggest the next steps and suggestions on next application, he will be applying once he get that letter.

thanks for your help and support.

Regards
