T2G extension

Post by Ash10 » Sun Dec 02, 2018 6:11 pm

Hi.
My current BRP expires on 14.03.19. I am planning to apply for my and dependents visa extension soonest possible with the same sponsor.

I have some queries and would highly appreciate your feedback.
1. Can my sponsor issue UCOS with work start date as 14.03.19 or earlier date?
2. Can the UCOS issued on 14.12.19 or earlier (within 90 days of work start date)?
3. If I apply on or around 14.12.19, will my visa be issued for 3 years from the new work start date or 3 years from visa application date?
4. Understand that IHS fee may be doubled in the near future. Is a date for IHS fee increase confirmed?
5. Which website should I use to complete my online application?
6. I intend to apply using super priority (24 hours decision) service for myself and normal for my dependents. Can I include my dependents in my application and then chose my appointment as super priority but dependents as normal? Or do I need to complete two different application - one for me and one for my dependents (wife as main applicant and two child as dependent)?
7. Can I start feeling the application now (save them as draft) and submit the application after receiving the COS?
8. For my dependents normal application, do I need to send them via post or it is through the new system?

Sincere apology for so many queries. Looking forward for your values feedback.
Kind regards
Ahsan

Hi...

1. The sponsor will issue the UCOS from 15/03/2019 to 14/03/22
2. It can be issued anytime before your current COS expires.
3. your visa will be inline with your COS date not your application date.
4. not confirmed yet.
5. https://www.ukvcas.co.uk/home-internal (do further research)
6. As you want to do your application on 24hr service I think you need to do separate application for your dependents. Please mention that you will be applying for your dependents on standard service on your application notes so that case workers don't hold it up. Do your one first and do their one's once your application is done. That how I did mine.
7 & 8. some one who used this service will be able to answer this correctly.

Hope this helps. Thanks.

Hi members.
I started filling up the on line application form for my Tier 2 General visa extension using below website:
https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/
I got stuck at below question:
"Do you currently have a visa or leave to remain?"
I answered yes. Follow up question is "What type of visa or leave to remain do you have?"
In the drop down list in the answer, there is no option for my current visa "Tier 2 (general) leave to enter".
So, am I completing the application in wrong website?
Would highly appreciate your feedback.

Kind regards
Ahsan

Given that we cannot see the online options without registering to make an application, what options exactly do you get in the drop down menu??
Char (CR001 not Casa)
In life you cannot press the Backspace button!!

HI CR001.
There are more than 30 options appear in the list. 8 options for Tier 2. But all options are with leave to remain. For example:
Tier 2 (general) leave to remain
Tier 2 (Intra-company Transfer) Established staff
Tier 2 (Intra-company Transfer) long term staff leave to remain
Tier 2 (minister of religion) leave to remain
Etc.
I have thoroughly checked all the options. There is only one option for Tier 2 General and that is "Tier 2 (general) leave to remain".
I am thinking that I might have used wrong site for filling the extension application. Is there any other website through which I should apply?

Hi CR001.
I came across a document published by University of Edinburgh for extension of their Tier 2 General visa holder staff. According to that document, it was suggested as per below:
If you are a Tier 2 migrant and are applying to extend your visa in the UK:
> Select ‘Tier 2 (General) leave to remain’.
I hope this is the correct option to select.

Dear Members.
I have submitted my online application and selected to use the new service. At the end of the application, it stated that our passports and BRPs as mandatory document to submit. Does that mean that I do not need to upload other document e.g. lastest bank statement, proof of cohabitation, proof of maintenance fund for 90 days etc.?

For other members benefit, during Tier 2 general visa extension purpose, do not chose UKVCAS service if you want to use priority or super priority decision. Getting an appointment in UKVCAS would surely delay your process time. Instead go for existing service and post your document.
Thanks.
