ILR application when partner on ESA

I am on the 5 year ILR pathway and due to apply for ILR in October 2019.
My partner has earned £17046 this tax year so far.
Now he has become unwell due to a severe back injury and his GP has signed him off sick and he will probably not be getting back to work until at least another 6 months.
He is planning to claim ESA and housing benefit to help with the rent.
How will this effect my ILR application in October 2019?

If you don't meet the financial requirements, ILR is unlikely to be successful as you are required to show ylat least 6 lo this evidence of earning again.
