Royal mail have lost BRP

Of all documents to get lost, my husband's BRP has been lost by Royal mail

It was sent as part of a provisional licence to DVLA with a SAE royal mail signed for track placed on top

The licence was issued and we have that in hand.

The tracked SAE was signed for at my property block but it is "missing". Both caretaker and Royal Mail are butting heads with who is to blame and where it could be.

Bottom line, the BRP is nowhere to be found irrespective of fault

Few issues: we are planning to move from our current property to a new home within 4 weeks. The date is not set so not sure if I should just wait until we move OR put another correspondence address.

BRP RC is an online application so should be using the new service. Annoyed it'll take up to 8 weeks for it to be "decided and issued. Priority service is available but looking at a compensation claim before anything else. Read the timeline for BRP RC so it's anything between a few weeks to 8 weeks

AND we had travel plans.

Any advice from those who have experienced similar issue will be appreciated.
