Re: BRP(RC) applications

Post by trueindian2013 » Sun Sep 09, 2018 11:57 am

Hi

Very useful post. Am applying for extension of my daughters BRP as her BRP expired last week. She got ILR in Sep 2013. I've a question on completing Section 7-Consent for the Home Office to Request Veri cation Checks in BRP (RC) form.

It's not clear what details should I fill in this section. Should I fill my details and sign as her father looking after her or should I fill the details of my daughter and ask her to sign, who is only 6 years old?

Thanks

HI trueindian2013,
In Section 7 - You have to fill your details not your daughter. I have filled mine in the application, not my daughter's.

Thought I would post my timeline on here for reference:

Applied online for replacement & payment made: 9 July
Supporting documents sent: 20 July
Biometrics Letter received: 1 August (dated 3 August)
Biometrics supplied: 3 August
BRP Received: 30 August (Issue date 24 August)

So overall, from application to receiving the card was a few days under 8 weeks.
Hi, did you mail your supporting documents to the Bristol address? And did you receive any confirmation from them that they were received? Really nervous about the whole new online form process

HI

Could you please mention if it was for ILR BRP replacement or any other?

Sorry for the late reply. My BRP replacement was for limited leave to remain

Yep, I mailed the supporting documents to the Bristol address. Didn't get any confirmation that they received them, which was frustrating because I was worried that they possibly didn't receive them. Im assuming they should contact you if they don't receive them, but I could be wrong.

Hi can you please update if you have received any response so far? I have recently (13-08-2018) applied for my BRP (RC) as well and I am yet to receive ANY kind of response from HO. They have deducted the application fee tho.

Hi,

I also applied around this time. Did you get your BRP (RC) yet? Did you get any reply? I am still waiting and getting no reply.

What type of visa you have please?

Hi,

I want to share my anxiety... I am still waiting for the renewed BRP for my children to arrive, which I applied more than two months ago.

<<Timeline>>
Applied online for replacement & payment made: 5 September
Supporting documents sent: 21 September
Biometrics Letter received: 2 October
Biometrics supplied: 5 October
BRP Received: ?????? (so far 5 weeks passed since Biometrics supplied)

<<Notes>>
We obtained IRL in 2008 and the first BRP renewal for my children has come 5 years after that.

Stupidly, the BRP had already expired for almost 3 months when we applied for the renewal...because we only found it when we were back from Japan a few days before ...Luckily it was within 3 months after the expiration...

For children, this was the first time they gave fingerprints because they were under 5 when we got their first BRP 5 years ago.

In terms of documents we sent, we included original passport and BRP of myself (Dad's) as well as recent payslip and p60 for each of the last 5 years as the evidences of continued residence as a family. Of course we also sent the letters from their school/nursery/dentists which can prove their continued residence in the UK.

I am still optimistic but the passports of one of my children and myself will expire in a few weeks. We also have flight tickets to Japan for Christmas/New Year, which were bought well before we noticed BRP had expired...

Can someone please help me?

I applied online for BRP RC for tier 2 8th October.

Sent documents on the same day.

Received BRP card 26th October.

My supporting documents + passport have not been returned!

I need this to travel.

I feel like they have lost it.

Is there anyway or anyone who knows who I can contact regarding this

I’m not really sure why a replacement can take so long... especially for ILR BRP replacement...

Hi all
just wanted to post my timeline for my replacement BRP
I have Indefinite leave to remain
time line :
Sent postal application 14/04/18
money deducted from account 17/04/18
bio-metric letter received 27/04/18
bio-metrics given 28/04/18

I have not heard anything since , I was supposed to travel on 20/06/18 but this is looking more and more unlikely as time goes on.
I feel so vulnerable without any form of identification and I just don't understand why it should take up to 6 months. All I can do it wait and hopefully it arrives soon
Hi Canadianarcher, I would like to hear an update about your situation as I am right now in the exact same spot.
I was granted Settlement ILR back in 2012 and my BRP was stolen back in September this year during a trip to Spain.
I reported it when I got back into the country and sent the application in the Postal Service on 12th September. Got the Biometrics letter on 21st Sept and submitted my new biometrics on Sept 24th. Now it's just been radio silence, the Home Office desk clerks aren't helpful at all as all they keep saying is that it will take up to six months and that I may have misunderstood about a timeframe of four to eight weeks as that is the timeframe for Limited Leave.

I have family over from CR for Xmas and we had planned to spend Xmas and NY in Prague, feel really at a loss now as I am not sure if I will end up getting my replacement card OR my passport, which they still have...

When did you end up getting your replacement BRP, Canadianarcher?

I hope this will encourage some of you guys...passports are back!!

So, the time line is...

Applied online for replacement & payment made: 5 September
Supporting documents sent: 21 September
Biometrics Letter received: 2 October
Biometrics supplied: 5 October
Email from DX received: 23 Nov
Missed (not at home) delivery from DX: 23 Nov
Passports and documents sent back: 24 Nov

So, it took 11 weeks and 2 days since the online application.
Exactly 7 weeks since Biometric supplied in the post office.

Passports are back 7days before expiry. If we can get BRC by 30th, we can renew before the expiry for cheaper charge!

( and,now I am struggling with DX’s poor Redelivery-arrangement system...why do they give us two different tracking numbers for one envelope? One is on the email from them and the other is on ‘not at home’ card...and their automatic telephone system is just rubbish...why can’t we speak to REAL person…? )

Hi can anyone please advise?

My wife (S. Korean) applied for a replacement BRP card, we received the card 15th Nov, but no sign of passport back which we need urgently, as her leave to remain expires soon and we need to reapply, amongst other things.

We have sent letter to the home office yesterday, but does anyone know of an email address or phone number we can contact them on? Has anyone had any experience with documents not being returned 3 weeks after receiving actual card?

Applied online for replacement & payment made: 26th Oct
Supporting documents sent: 26 Sept
Biometrics Letter received: 31st Oct
Biometrics supplied: 3 Nov
Success Letter Received: 10th Nov
BRP Card Received: 15th Nov
Documents: Not received yet (4th Dec...)

Any thoughts really appreciated, thanks.

Biometric info enrolled: 19/10/2018

Here's my timeline for my brp (rc) tier 4 visa
Online Application: 12/11/2018
Documents posted: 13/11/2018
Biometrics Enrolment Letter Received: 20/11/2018
Biometrics Submitted: 21/11/2018

Brp: still waiting...

I received my passport and documents back really soon does it means that I will get my brp back soon? I know people normally receive their brp first and passport and documents are the last things to come back.
I have Christmas flights booked, could someone advise me if they think it's possible that my brp will arrive before 15/12/2018

Just wanted to update this. I have now received the approval letter today, 21/12. I also had a dx slip that they attempted to deliver the brp but I wasn’t home so I have rescheduled for Monday. Thankfully this was very quick for me! 3 1/2 weeks from the online application.
