No.Can my Spouse and children switch to Spouse visa of Settled resident (WITHOUT RESETTING THE 5 YEAR continuous resident period)
Kindly advise will they apply for ILR or 2nd Extension once their current grant expires in march 2020 and they complete 5 year for ILR in July 2020?CR001 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 15, 2018 6:57 pmNo.Can my Spouse and children switch to Spouse visa of Settled resident (WITHOUT RESETTING THE 5 YEAR continuous resident period)
If you get ILR based on PBS route, your dependents can continue as PBS Dependents. There is NO requirement for them to switch visas in this case.
the first visa was issued Feb 2015
What about life in the UK test and English test does my spouse need to qualify as well?
Yes, this is mandatory for ILR. Must be English B1 from an HO approved test provider. What about life in the UK test and English test does my spouse need to qualify as well?

Re qualifying from visa start date, I would be concerned if your 'solicitor' wasn't aware of the changes in the rules that came into affect in January this year, see link below. Note, that a solicitor is not required for ILR and has no influence on your application.

So earliest if you apply in July 2019, you need 2 FT JOBS that have existed for 12 months each AFTER March 2018 (July 2018 - July 2019) in your case.
