Unpaid leave in Tier 2 General

Post by onilr » Mon Sep 17, 2018 6:24 pm

Hi

I had 15 days (11 working days) unpaid leave in Mar'16 and 17 days (13 working days) in Jun'16. Total 32 days (24 working days). I heard that the Tier 2 employee can take up to 28 days (20 working days) which introduced from Aprl'16. I had one before aprl'16 and after. How does this affect my ILP application? Can you please suggest and route me in right way to get ILR, please :) .

Thanks

No. It won't affect your ILR. The "new" rule would not be effective retrospectively.

Hi mate,

Thanks for the post and it is very similar to me. Do you know what was the rule than before 2016 April about unpaid leave?

I think, before Apr'16, nothing mentioned about unpaid leave in the rules.

During these unpaid leaves, were you outside UK or within the UK?

Have you mentioned any letter about these unpaid leaves ?
