AN form updated disaster

Post by zinao » Wed Dec 19, 2018 7:29 pm

Hi everyone

I am just really frustrated.
Was about to send my documents to the home office for my bp citizenship and they have just updated the application form with no warning.

Do I have to use the new version?

It took me a long time to get references which were the delay. I will have to send the references :D back to people and it may be inconvenient.

Any advice.

Section 10 of the AN form

Post by zinao » Wed Dec 19, 2018 7:38 pm

Hi
They are asking for payslips
P60's etc
Letters from employees

Do we have to provide this going back 10 years or 5 covering the relevant period?

Refer to the details of what has been updated:

Last updated 19 December 2018 - hide all updates
19 December 2018
Application for naturalisation as a British citizen (form AN), requirements booklet and guide for applicants updated to include information about the EU Settlement Scheme.

I believe you are not an EU citizen so this shouldn't apply to you.

But will I be penalised for sending the old version. It just says includes EU settlement scheme.

From the AN form:
1.50 Employment history in UK during past 10 years, or since date of entry if you have been
here for less than 10 years (continue on page 22 and use additional sheets if needed).

This is working back from the date of application.

As you are non-EU your passport(s) with entry stamps is all that is needed (EU passports don't get stamped.

Please keep all questions in one thread.

As far as I know not - let's face it if you used the old form on 18/12 it would be unjust to penalise on 20/12! There have been additional explanations included for holders of EU settled status (if you are non-EU it doesn't apply to you).

No the back of the form on page 31 says payslips, p60 for Ni Contributions.

So I need to dig this up for up to the last 10 years.
Do I provide all of them or just one of each?

From my own experience I only provided an employer letter (no P60) - only one type of document is required Letter or P60. If you can't find them all explain separately.

Ok I don't want to open another thread

You know the biometric section of the AN form, it asks what date fingerprint was taken

Where do I get that info?

It's been more than 5 years and I don't want to give wrong info.

I have read the AN guide and it does not assist.

If you don't know / can't remember say so - it's not an issue that has come up here lately.
