Children naturalization application

Hi everyone, how long it takes the process of children citizenship through naturalization? Thanks

It used to be 3 months few years back but now they are taking lot more that. I applied in 1st wk of June on behalf my kid and still waiting. One of friend applied for his 2 kids in Feb and he is still waiting.. I would say we are pretty close so I reckon it might be 4-8 months.

I applied for my kids in ist week june as well ... i got acknowledgement and since then no update yet ...

Did you receive the second letter?

No i have not received second letter. I think second letter comes as approval . I think for children naturalization there will be no second letter

I applied for my son in July. I got the acknowledgement after a month. They asked that submitting the passport and I submitted it, Then they returned it with the socand letter.

Mine was the same.. got a letter with the passport stating that the application is processing and will be submitted to the Minister ASAP.. that might be the second letter.. once it comes back from the minister we will be told to pay 200 euros.

Sure, I had submitted original passport with application so I got straight away second letter including acknowledgement.

My friend about whom I was taking about in my earlier post got the approval for his two kids yesterday. He applied in Feb 2018. We should expect ours very soon.

THAnks .. did you receive kids irish citizenship cert? When did you send fees and photos plz?

Not yet. I posted them on the 13th of Nov. My mate got his kids cert in 5 wks after sending the fees and photos.. hopefully, we have them before Christmas....

How come people applying in nov . Ceremony happened on 26th nov . Did the parents got approval in May ?
Looking at this thread seems it is taking 6 months for children’s approval As well . I just submitted yesterday so hoping passport comes back before Christmas
