Set (O) Ancestry Absences Letter

Hi, I'm applying on set O under UK Ancestry, does anyone know if I am required to provide an employer letter confirming absences? It looks like the online application is forcing me to choose a form of evidence but I for some reason was under the impression that for Ancestry this was not necessary.
